This document outlines ideas for a mental health project including creating soundscapes and visuals representing different mental health issues like anxiety, depression, autism, and more. Some ideas are an audio piece with overlapping first-hand interviews about mental health experiences and accompanying flashing visuals. The soundscapes would capture what having various conditions feels like, for example, lots of distracting noises for ADHD or a fast heartbeat and panting for anxiety. Mood boards are also proposed to help represent each mental health topic.

■ Kinda trippy sound L/R balance thing with overlapping speech of first hand interviews.
Accompanying visuals, some flashing on either side. If some people say the same stuff,
line them up possibly.
■ Soundscapes for different mental health issues. I.E.Anxiety, Depression,Autism etc.
■ Visuals that represent each thing talked about ^

3. ADHD Mood Board
Lots of distracting noises
I can’t really think of a better image of ADHD
outside of the character ”Doug” from Disney
Pixar’s “UP”. He sums up my own
experiences of ADHD perfectly, as he gets
distracted at the slightest mention of a
squirrel. Except, the squirrel could be
anything. Knocking,Typing, Speaking,
Breathing, Beeping, Cars, Lips Smacking,
Music, etc.

4. Anxiety Mood Board
Heart beat gets faster and panting
ensues

5. Depression Mood Board
After anxiety quotes drop the sound to a
minimal, voices distant but still audible

6. PTSD Mood Board
BANG! Noise picks up but it’s kinda
muffled, distant, but not as far as
depression. Blurry audio.

7. Autism/Asperger’s Mood Board
Sound picks up again to an overwhelming amount of sounds, but
everything quiets down, except one really specific noise. Spray
