2. Initial Reaction
• My first thoughts on this project are as follows; it will be fun and
I’m going to find it quite easy. I will force myself to do something I
find challenging, which is making a good double page spread with
an interesting article. Last year, when I made my double page
spread, it was ugly and hard to look at, but this year will be
different. I will keep it simple with a picture and an article.
• My initial idea is a military aviation magazine as over the summer, I
visited the Imperial War Museum and took a bunch of pictures of
old warbirds and cold war jets.
• Another idea I had was making a men’s fashion magazine as that
idea is outside of my comfort zone. I’ve never been interested in
fashion as you would be able to tell by how I dress, but I feel that
making a fashion magazine would expand my knowledge and look
good on my portfolio. I feel it would also be good as I haven’t seen
any of my peers doing a men’s fashion magazine.

6. Mood Board Analysis
• Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• The pictures in the mood board have mostly men in black
suits with a black background. Every picture is a male.
• How will your mood board influence your final product?
• My mood board will influence my final product as I have
found some interesting styles to use, such as a black suit on a
black background leaving not much but the head being seen.
