2. Plot
Her day begins with a heated argument with her parents. She
leaves the house screaming "I HATE YOU" and realises she is late
for school. She heads towards the bus stop and just misses her
bus. In annoyance, she gets out a cigarette and smokes it. She
later arrives to school late and is lectured by her teacher for it,
Natalie is in no mood for a lecture so she walks away. But things
take a turn for the worst as some bad words are exchanged
with a girl that pins her against her a wall and punches her in
her face. Now feeling completely victimised by the world, she
leaves school and finds an alley to drink her vodka and drown
her sorrows. She cries and cries deep before we return to her in
the shower with a blade by her wrist.
3. Genre Drama
A drama film is a film genre that depends mostly
on in-depth development of realistic characters
dealing with emotional themes. Dramatic themes
such as alcoholism, child abuse, drug addiction,
infidelity, moral dilemmas, racial prejudice,
religious intolerance, sexuality, poverty, class
divisions, violence against women and corruption
put the characters in conflict with themselves,
others, society and even natural phenomena.
Drama is one of the broadest movie genres and
includes subgenres such as romantic drama, sport
films, period drama, courtroom drama and crime.
4. Target Audience
Our film is targeted at those aged 15-35 both
male and female though predominantly female.
It’s mature content of mental illness and self harm
is not for the faint hearted but should be
something a vast majority of young adults could
identify with.
This type of drama explores the view point and
emotions of the character as the audience sees
the situation differently the protagonist the
conflict between the characters is often mental
and emotional rather than physical which would
attract perhaps a female audience slightly more
than a male audience.
5. Physiological aspect to our thriller features the conflict
between the characters that is often mental and
emotional rather than physical which would attract
perhaps a female audience slightly more than a male
audience. Psychological thrillers also have some kind of
mystery to work out and there can also be an element of
horror in them as some can be very disturbing. Therefore
this would attract an older, more intellectual audience
because if the audience were not able to work it out, they
might find it boring.
However our film is very physical and features intense
scenes torture. This would attract an audience interested in
Horror Thrillers. This audience tends to vary in age range as
a horror thriller can be certificated a 15 or an 18
depending on the content.
6. USP
The unique selling points of our film lies with the main
character and protagonist Natalie, she is a suffering
depression, a mental illness that many can identify with.
She is also self harms, something that may be relatable to
a much smaller audience but something that will no
doubt trigger something to the vast majority.

Our film will be low budget.
Our main expenses lie with the props which we will
be buying the costume for the main character as
well as the props.
