Our short story features the protagonist Natalie, played by Chloe Lashley. Chloe was chosen for her experience in school and independent film productions, as well as her talent, experience, and on-screen presence that could bring the character to life. There were also similarities between Chloe and Natalie in terms of their age, demeanor, and presence. The only other character is a teacher, a small role requiring only a few lines from a middle-aged woman stereotypically costumed as a teacher. A drama teacher was asked to play this role briefly as they would know how to conduct themselves on camera convincingly as an "angry teacher."

Our short story features one on screen character
throughout the production, being our protagonist
known simply as ‘Natalie’. In terms of actresses, we
had a few options in place and there were variables to
be considered such as availability of the actress, her
experience and on screen presence.
Chloe Lashley retained all these qualities as well as a
grand amount of talent that we all believed could
bring our character to life. Chloe's experience in

and independent movie productions were influential
factors in desiring her be our actress, but it was also
how easy it was to relate our character to chloe’s – in
aspects of there age, demeanour and presence, there
were similarities to be found between them.

3. ‘TEACHER’
The only other one screen character to appear in
our short film will be a ‘teacher’. This role was
very small and thus did not have many
requirements in terms of qualifying for the
position. This role educes a few lines, said by a
women of middle age with the stereotypical
costume you would expect of a teacher. We felt it
would be wise to ask to ask a drama teacher to
play the role of the ‘teacher’ and feature [briefly]
in our short film as they would expectedly know
how to conduct themselves on camera and
hopefully be convincing as a ‘angry teacher.’
