3. About Macalester College…
• Traditional private liberal arts college 2200 FTE students
• Library w/ 22 FTE staff including 15 librarians
• Recognized as the ACRL Small Library of the Year
• Limited experience seeking grant funding

9. OER Stipend ProgramProgram provides start-up funding and encourages faculty experimentation with OER
Two levels of support available:
LEVEL #1: Adopting an existing open textbook/OER for use in a course
(Eligible for stipend of $300 per textbook project)
LEVEL #2: Creating a new Open Textbook/OER for use in a course
(Eligible for stipend of $1,200 per textbook project)
• Competitive process to receive stipend – limited funds available
• Open to tenured, tenure-track, or NTT series faculty
• OER should replace commercial textbook / learning resource
• Requires a consultation OER support staff and progress reports
• Half funds available early / remaining funds available later
