2. INTRODUCTION TO PARC
The product application and research center PARC
(Reliance Industries Limited petrochemical division was
established in 1990 at Chembur, Mumbai as a technical
wing of the polymer marketing division. It is deeply
involved in the development of new grades & the
optimization of the existing grades in terms of cost &
properties.

7. COMPOUNDING
•Add PVC + GMS + Stearic acid and start the mixer
•After 5 min. add octyl tin stabilizer.
•Then add half amount of plasticizer, when mixer
temperature reaches to 650C.
•When temperature reach once again to 650C then add
remaining amount of plasticizers.
•At 800C remove the material from the mixer and
allow it to cool .
14. CONCLUSION
• It can be clearly seen that, As the concentration of triacetin
increases, density increases respectively.
•Triacetin increases Tensile Strength and elongation at break .
• Increase in content of Triacetin increases hardness.
•So on basis of above all results we can conclude that Triacetin
plasticizer is not suitable for complete replacement with DOP
plasticizer but it can use a partial replacement with DOP
plasticizer thus can be used where short shelf life of product is
required.
