4. HISTORY :
PT. Supersonic Chemical Industry was
established in Sidoarjo, East Java on April
5, 1974, with a legal entity CV
(Commanditaire Vennootschap).
Along with the development of its
business, in 1978 the status of legal
entities was upgraded to PT (Limited
Liability Company). The resulting product
is Calcium Carbonate (CaCO₃) powder.
The products of CaCO₃ are then sent to
paint, pralon (PVC pipe), cables, plastic
ore and others.
Consumption of CaCO₃ was increasing,
so that in 1984 the factory was moved to
Sukabumi, West Java.
Based on the results of the feasibility
study conducted, where the availability
of raw materials in Gunungkidul was very
abundant, in 1989 the factory was
moved to Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. This
was done as an effort to develop the
company and to participate in creating
jobs in the regions.
The total land area of 60.995 sq.m
consists of 30 percent buildings and
offices as well as 70 percent green open
lands

month) -- CURRENTLY OPERATING 30-40%
(6 – 8 million kilograms per month)

10. MATERIAL HANDLING
• 1. Material
- The type of material used is Limestone or in local names it
is called: Limestone, Bedhes, Kenthi which has passed the
quality test.
Processed material has a size between 20-30 cm, with
moisture content 0-6%.

- Raw materials are stored in closed and floored
warehouses to avoid contamination.

17. DRYING
• The drying or drying process is carried out if the material has a moisture content above 4%.

20. • 1. Milling
The production or milling by high technology process is carried
out using a rotary ballmill. The product from Ballmil is then sucked by a
blower which will then be further processed by the classifier.
21. • 2. Classifying
The out put of the grinding will be separated using a Classifier according to the
required fineness. And products that do not pass the Classifier will return to the milling
process.
