Flight Training Professionals Has a New Simulator
Flight Training Professionals has a great new teaching tool. We recently acquired a
Redbird FMX flight simulator. The Redbird FMX is a superior-quality, full motion
Advanced Aviation Training Device, with features that are anything but standard.
• Electric Motion Platform
Special points
of interest: • Fully enclosed cockpit
• +200° wrap-around visuals
• FTPros New Simula- • Ergonomically correct design
tor
• Airport Planning • User defined missions database
Meeting • Quick-change cockpit configurations
- Traditional and glass cockpit
• Complete terrain and airport database
• FAA Certified AATD
Inside this issue: The FMX was designed to be reconfigurable, allowing Flight Training Professionals
to use one simulator to represent all of the airplanes in our training fleet. It’s ver-
Bahamas 2 satile enough to represent glass panel aircraft as well as traditional 6-pack configu-
rations. The emergency scenarios that the device is capable of simulating are
amazing. We can let you experience situations in the Redbird that would not be
Based Customer 2 safe to show you in an airplane. The FMX serves up a level of realism that is simply
Survey
unavailable in other training devices on the market.
Lodi’s Lowdown 2 The Redbird is FAA Approved for the maximum training credit for the Private, In-
strument and Commercial Courses. We will be using it heavily in all of these
courses. The Redbird can also be used for portions of the IPC and can be used to
keep IFR Proficiency. You can fly the six approaches, the hold and the navigation
tasks required by CFR 61.57 to maintain your proficiency without having an instruc-
tor present. We will be training customers to operate the Redbird so they can take
advantage of this awesome opportunity.
Please call 407-896-0077 to schedule a time for a demo flight in the Redbird. We

Bahamas Update
After the devastation in the Bahamas caused
by hurricane Irene, we are working with Baha-
mas Habitat staging supplies in our facility
for their relief flights heading to the islands.
As pilots we can truly make a difference by
Supplies heading for the flying humanitarian missions. Whether a Ba-
Bahamas… hamas Habitat, Angel Flight, Pilots-N-Paws, Veterans Airlift Command or EAA
Young Eagles flight we encourage you to look into these rewarding opportu-
nities.
The Bahamas Habitat not only operates during natural disasters, but has a
year-round presence. Currently, they are working on the Zion Children’s
Home Project. Check out their Fly-In & Help Out Event October 20th-23rd for
your chance to volunteer.
Many of you have flown missions for at least one of the listed organizations.
If you have, please share your experience on our discussion page on Face-
book. If you haven’t taken a volunteer mission and are interested in learning
more, we would be happy to put you in contact with a seasoned volunteer
pilot or some of the wonderful folks involved with these organizations. And
don’t forget, in an effort to encourage more participation, Showalter offers
special fuel pricing for people flying missions for these organizations. Don’t
miss your chance to make a difference!
Lodi’s Lowdown
Lodi’s Lowdown for the month of August was correctly
answered by Nicholas Musashe and Wendy Gorham. The
1938 Lockheed Electra 12A Junior pictured at right was
originally owned by Phillips Petroleum. Thanks for an-
swering!

Restaurant Group for over 14 years. Our Family owned company
