MDGs and SDGs
• 1. There are eight development goals MDGs while seventeen
in SDGs
• 2. MDGs include 8 goals, 21 targets and 60 indicators. In SDGs
17 goals, 169 targets and 230 indicators.

Challenges in Pakistan
1. Poverty is the root cause of many problems in Pakistan
including extreme hunger, conflicts and crimes
2. Basic education and health facilities are not equally accessible
to all Pakistanis
3. Rapid increase in population and not properly utilization of
resources
SDG 01. No Poverty
Suggested solution in Pakistan
• 1. It is the responsibility of government to create a mechanism
to reduce poverty by generating situations and skillful youth
• 2. Basic education and health facilities should be free to all.
There should be no concept of private educational institutions
and hospitals.
• 3. To control population, basic education (effects of
population) should be included in curriculum. For proper
utilization of resources empower

Challenges in Pakistan
• Contaminated water & sanitation are the major cause of
disease.
• Improper distribution or consumption of water resources
• Filthy (poisonous) water of industries(factories) drain their
wastes to fresh water lakes, rivers

Suggested solutions
• 1. a firm research should
• 2. There should be proper monitoring over
proper distribution and consumption of
clean water resources
• 3. Bound factories to follow guidelines
(rules) made by government, otherwise
take strict actions against them.
