• Case study can be used in education as a

using real life examples , and case studies

• When the researcher is trying to answer ‘how’
or ‘why’ questions
• When the researcher cannot manipulate the
behaviours of those being studied
• When the researcher wants to look closer at
contextual conditons relevant to the issue being
studied .
• When boundaries between the issue being
studied and the context are not clear.
