1. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt In
progression form it to the full product ?
QUESTION 7
2. I have made many developments since
doing my preliminary task which
consisted of making a college magazine
and concluding my final product of
music magazine.
COLLEGE VS
FINAL MAGAZINE
3. I devolved in many different areas, from photography, the general layout of
the magazine, colour scheme and font.
The first devolvement I noticed from my preliminary task to my full product
is that the photography has improved significantly. The pictures used in my
college magazine weren’t taken using a professional camera but instead a
Samsung galaxy 4 hence why the picture came out quite blurry and
unfocused. However when reaching the beginning of creating my full
product I was taught how to use a professional ( CANON ) camera and learnt
to … connect the camera with the lights in the photography room so I was
able to add more effect to it and make it all professional as possible .
DEVELOPMENT
4. • In my preliminary task I used a full body, long range image for my cover
star which isn’t very professional and I learnt while progressing through to
finishing my full progressing through to finishing my full product that a mid
shot photo looks more professional for the cover star.
• Compared to my made college magazine my main cover line stands out
from the rest of the cover page so that the readers can be aware of the
main story include in the magazine, however I didn’t include this for my
college magazine.
• Also in my college magazine my mast head didn’t stand out in the cover as
the font used was very similar to the others . In my full product I included
the date, price, Q reader.
LAYOUT
5. • My colour scheme for both magazine are but consistent which makes but
the magazines look professional and attractive but with the lack of quality
with the camera on the college image makes the colour scheme look
unattractive and very unprofessionally made.
• On the final music magazine I used a basic colour scheme of black, white
and grey to give the magazine that clean and sharp finish.
