This is from a defense tower style game. I looked at this for the way the characters
move and the animation of them. It looks simple but the movements are complex. For
mine I was wanting to have the “mobs” run towards the character and by playing and
watching this game it gives me an idea of movement.

This is a very pixel game which is our main focus. This game has levels and harder
difficulty mobs. The terrain it is based is very dungeon like and the use of squares. The
object is to collect a key from killing the monsters which unlocks the levels.

This video is a ”Dungeon run” which is a fast paced, time scaled dungeon, strategy run. In this,
you are given a timescale and you only have one life. The idea is you survive the nether
fortress which is full of fire troopers and mobs and a lot of lava and molten blocks and the aim
is to survive and go fight the boss at the end.You have to complete it in a certain time or you
are killed instantly. This can be played as a multiplayer team or on your own. It is best to have
another player but if you are feeling brave you can try take the dungeon on your own but this
has not been very effective. This is the type of game I was planning on making this is a sheer
test of strength and design and of course survival.

This stream focuses on Dungeon fortresses
and the aim is to get better loot for a boss fight
at the end but it is basic survival so you have to
try avoid mobs til you get better gear. There
are modden mobs which are mummies and
they do a lot of damage and you have to make
sure you avoid them or try kill them but luckily
you can respawn and try again.
6. Research
Analysis
What common features do the researched products
have?
The common feature I have chosen is dungeon style games as that is
what I would like to create.
• They are all PC playable games
• Good vs Evil
• Increasing the difficulty as you go along
What aspects of the research will you include within
your on work?
I will make sure to include the simple style animation from the 1st two
I researched but I will also include the “Dungeon run” style.
I plan on using a simple animation more like the 8-bit style dungeon I
have researched but using the same principle as the dungeon run.
