LoRa Environmental Monitoring IoT System

First, system background
People pay more and more attention to environmental issues, and use LoRa narrow-band
Internet of Things technology to monitor the environment within the site, including PM2.5, CO2
content, light, dust particle concentration, ambient temperature, pressure, etc., to build a LoRa
environmental monitoring Internet of Things system. The monitoring of the environment enables
early warning of the state of the environment and the transition from passive acceptance to
active defense.
A LoRa control terminal can connect 16-32 environmental sensors. LoRa's long-distance
communication greatly reduces the cost of relaying. The system can be applied to various scenes
that need to monitor real-time environmental status in industrial parks, residential areas, schools,
etc., real-time monitoring of the environment and early warning.
Second, system composition and overall design
The LoRa Environment Monitoring IoT system consists of various environmental sensors, LoRa
control terminals, LoRa detection terminals, DDC equipment, and cloud data management
platforms.
The environmental data management center intelligently analyzes the status of each access
sensor by analyzing and processing collected data and converts it into valuable information for
authorized users to access and use. It can be seen that the system can realize functions such as
power-on-demand, simple network, data upload, data delivery, and anti-jamming, and it can
realize the collection and management of environmental data. This system not only provides the
convenience of query and management for the environmental data management center but also

Environmental smoke, PM2.5, CO2, temperature and humidity data are transmitted to the cloud
center through wireless networks for intelligent analysis and processing.
3.2 Data storage
The system can store historical data and form a knowledge base so that it can be processed and
queried at any time.
3.3 Data Analysis
The system displays the time value distribution (line chart) and space distribution status (field
map) to the user in an intuitive form and provides daily reports, monthly reports, and other
historical reports.
3.4 Remote Control
Users can remotely view data such as environmental smoke, PM2.5, CO2, temperature and
humidity at any time and any place through an Internet access terminal.
3.5 Mobile Phone Monitoring
4G mobile phone can achieve the same function as the computer terminal, real-time viewing of
various data sent by the sensor.
Fourth, system characteristics
The system uses a 4G+LoRa full wireless architecture, eliminating the need for cabling and low
maintenance costs.
The green, environmentally friendly, non-radiation sensor network features ultra-low power
consumption synchronized across the entire network. The wireless acquisition terminal uses two
alkaline batteries for more than three years; the network is automatically loaded balanced and all
wireless nodes in the network can be evaluated for power consumption. The power consumption
is similar to automatic networking, self-maintenance, and network connection visibility.
All-weather stable operation requires no manual intervention Various management methods. All
monitoring can be managed by directly accessing the gateway or network server. The
management software interface is good and powerful. The data is recorded and analyzed in a
timely and accurate manner. The wireless sensor network is stable and reliable. It works
independently and does not need to pay any fees. The data of multiple collectors are sent
through a gateway, saving 4G traffic charges.
