• Microsoft PowerPoint provides various tools
and features to enhance the appearance of a
presentation.
• These special effects assist you in making your
presentation attractive, effective, engaging, and
professional, and create a greater impact on the
audience.

The ability to move objects like text,
graphics, charts, logos etc. in any direction
is called Animation.
Animation is quite beneficial when you
wish to focus on important points.
It also controls the sequence of the flow
of information and helps in making
information more impressive.
Besides giving visual effects to your
presentation, you can also sizzle up your
slide objects- etc
5. ADDING TRANSITION EFFECTS
• Transition effects appear when one slide
changes to another during the Slide
Show view. You can apply transition
effects to a single slide as well as to all
the slides of a presentation.
TIP
• You can also apply transition effects in
Slide Sorter View. To do so, open the
Transitions tab and select the desired
slide transition effect.
6. INSERTING SOUND CLIPS
• Music or sound effects can add a completely
new dimension to any presentation. You can
add sound in the form of background music
or special effects to give importance to specific
content.
• Sound files can be added from the files stored
on your computer. You can even record your
own sound or can also add music from a CD.
7. INSERTING YOUR OWN SOUND
• To add your own sound to the
slide, first you will have to
record it.
• While recording your sound, it
is essential to connect a
microphone that is compatible
with your computer.

presentation.
• PowerPoint allows you to insert
a video onto a slide and play it
during your presentation.
• This is a wonderful feature to
make your presentation more
engaging for the audience.
9. USING ACTION BUTTONS
• In PowerPoint, we have the facility to link to a
web page, e-mail address, file, slide in the
same presentation as well as in a different
presentation.
• Action buttons are built-in shapes, which you
can add to a presentation and set a link to
another slide, play a sound, or perform some
other action.

import data from other applications

design a
presentation.
13. OUTLINE VIEW

presentation is displayed in
outline form.
• It displays only the text on your
slides in the outline pane on the
left.
• This allows you to quickly edit
the text on the slides
• And view contents of all the
slides at once.
14. SLIDE SORTER VIEW
• Slide Sorter view shows a
miniature version of all the slides
in the presentation in horizontal
rows.
• These miniature versions of the
slides are called thumbnails.
15. NOTE PAGE VIEW

presentation, add speaker
notes that you refer to later
while delivering the
slideshow to your audience.
• Those notes are visible to you
on your monitor, but they
aren't visible to the audience.
16. READING VIEW
• Using this view, you can
view the presentation as a
slide show that fits window.

• This view is used when you
deliver your presentation to
the audience.
• It displays the slides in a
sequence in the full screen
mode.
18. SLIDE MASTER
The Slide Master is an element of the
template that stores information,
including font styles, placeholder sizes,
position of text and objects, bullet
styles, background design, and colour
schemes.
Slide Master sets the default layout and
formatting for all other slides.
It actually controls an entire
presentation. Any changes made in the
