2. PROCESS: UPLOADING THE
PHOTOSHOP DOCUMENTTo begin my product, I first
needed to upload a fresh
Photoshop document so that
I can work from scratch. I
first clicked into File, where I
then clicked into New. This
brought up me document
settings. I set the height at
120 pixels and the width by
80 pixels. This gave me a
small document, however,
when you use the Zoom tool
and zoom up, it gives you
that pixel cube effect. I will
increase the size and
sharpness of the page when
3. PROCESS: CREATING AND
ANIMATING THE TEXT SCENESThe next part of the plan was to
create and animate the different text
scenes that will intervene in different
parts of the game trailer that I will
construct to how necessary gameplay.
I began by creating separate layers for
the clouds in the background one by
one. With the background and the
layers created, it was time to create
the piece of text that will appear in
the centre of the screen, I did this by
using the text box tool and setting it
at the Comic Sans font on Movie
Maker. With the all parts constructed,
it was time to animate, I first created
two frames where the layers were at
different positions in between, then
‘tweened’ the frames with the tween
control in the settings for the frames.
4. PROCESS: CREATING AND
ANIMATING ALLY AND
GAMEPLAY With the text scenes completed, it
time to create the snippets of Ally
and the gameplay. I started out in a
similar fashion of the text: started
out with the base, then created the
layers one by one. In this case, I
created the body of Ally as the base,
then her legs were the different
layers so that it makes it look like
she’s galloping. I proceeded to
create the rest of the layers of the
different parts of the gameplay, and
with that I animated again. I tweened
the different locations of the layers
once again and made them move
smoothly and carefully to make it
5. PROCESS: SOUND EFFECTS AND
COLLECTING MUSIC
With all the clips taken care
off, it was time to create the
sound effects and music for
the trailer., I used the piano
keyboard which was
connected to my typing
keyboard, with the tune of a
NES keyboard to create the
sound effects Ally and the
rest of the gimmicks make
when they are performing
every move. Next, I found
some music on YouTube and
used 2conv.com to import
them into my files as the
soundtrack for my trailer. I
6. PROCESS: PUTTING IT ALL
TOGETHER With the music and clips of
gameplay and text completed, it
was time to put it all together in a
Movie Maker format. I set up the
document in a similar style to the
Photoshop document, naming it
‘Ally Dash’. I then imported all of
the clips and sounds for my game
trailer, and then arranged them all
in chronological order that suited
best for the audience to see, as
well as going according to plan.
When the organizing was
complete, and the trailer was
checked, it was time to import it
into my files, ready to import it
properly onto YouTube. I made
