Amy Watson is currently studying creative media at York College to pursue her dream of becoming an illustrator. She plans to study illustration at university next. For work experience, she would like to work in an art department, such as at the hospital in York where she has previously done work experience. 5. What type of work experience do you think you would need to help you in your future career? How might you be
able to find work experience placements? If you could pick anywhere to do work experience, where would it be
and why?
‘I would need the work experience in the
art department, and I know that the
hospital in York is quite good because I’ve
done work experience there before.’

6. What specific skills do you need to develop? There should be a mix of industry specific skills and also personal
development points. When you identify these, come up with suggestions as to how you might make those
improvements.
I will develop the skills of:
• Drawing
•Animation
•Capturing vocals for suggested characters
I could improve by using animation softwares more often as well as
look up animation pictures and guides such as simple walking cycles
so I can practice. I can also ask my friends if they could help me do
some character voice building for some of my characters.
