offers a wide array of weapons for players to enjoyably and enthusiastically
exterminate the zombies that are causing havoc in the area.
1.4 Assignment of Roles and Responsibilities
The assignment of roles and responsibilities in the "Zombie Killing Game"
refers to the process of allocating tasks, designating positions, distributing
duties, and assigning specific obligations and areas of responsibility to the
participants or characters involved in the game.
1. Survivor/Player: The main character controlled by the player has
several important responsibilities. Their primary objective is to ensure
their own survival, which means they must do everything they can to
stay alive. This involves finding and collecting essential resources like
food, water, weapons, and other supplies that are necessary for their
well-being and continued existence. Additionally, the player must be
prepared to defend themselves against the relentless onslaught of
zombies that inhabit the town, using various means such as weapons,
traps, or other defensive strategies to fend off or eliminate these undead
threats.
2. Explorer/Scavenger: In this game, there is a specific role that involves
actively exploring the town to find important items needed for the
player's survival. This role is responsible for searching every nook and
cranny of the town in order to locate supplies, weapons, and valuable
items that are crucial for the player's well-being and ability to endure in
the game.
3. Fighter/Warrior: The player has the crucial responsibility of directly
fighting against the zombies. They must use weapons and employ
strategic approaches to eliminate the zombie threats they encounte
To fight the zombies, the player relies on weapons that can vary in type
and effectiveness. These weapons may include firearms like pistols,
15
rifles, or shotguns, as well as close-quarters weapons such as knives,
bats, or axes. The player must wield these weapons effectively to inflict
damage upon the zombies and neutralize the threat they pose.
Engaging in combat is not merely about randomly attacking the
zombies. It involves the use of strategies, which refer to thoughtful
plans or approaches designed to gain an advantage over the enemy. In
this case, the player must think strategically to maximize their chances
of success in combat. They may need to consider factors such as the
number and strength of the zombies, their own resources and
capabilities, and the surrounding environment. By doing so, the player
can employ tactics such as aiming for the zombies' weak points, using
stealth to their advantage, or creating traps to lure and defeat the undead.
4. Medic/Healer: The player has an important task of taking care of their
own health by finding and using medical supplies. These supplies, such
as first aid kits or items that restore health, are crucial for the player to
heal and recover from injuries sustained during encounters with
zombies or other hazards in the game.
5. Survivor Leader: you have a critical role in making decisions and
planning your actions strategically. This means that you must carefully
choose what actions to take, prioritize tasks based on their importance,
effectively manage the resources available to you, and determine the
best course of action to ensure your survival in the game.
Making decisions involves selecting the most suitable options or
choices at different points in the game. These decisions can impact your
progress, safety, and overall chances of survival. For example, you may
need to decide whether to explore a particular area, engage in combat,
or search for resources.
Planning your actions strategically means thinking ahead and
considering the potential outcomes of your decisions. It involves
analyzing the risks and rewards associated with different actions and
determining the most effective approach to achieve your goals. This
may include planning routes, setting up traps, or devising escape
strategies to navigate the zombie-infested town.
Prioritizing tasks means determining which actions are most urgent or
important to your survival. You need to assess the immediate threats or
needs and focus your efforts on addressing those first. For instance, if
16
you are low on food or ammunition, you may prioritize finding those
resources over other non-essential tasks.
6. Stealth Expert/Sneaker: The player takes on the role of moving
quietly and avoiding detection by zombies, utilizing stealth to bypass or
eliminate threats without attracting unnecessary attention.
7. Resource Manager: you have the important responsibility of
effectively managing and rationing the resources available to you. This
means that you need to carefully handle and distribute items like food,
water, ammunition, and other supplies to ensure your long-term
survival in the game.
Efficiently managing resources involves making the most of what you
have. It requires using your resources wisely, avoiding wastefulness or
unnecessary consumption. You should strive to make the best use of
each item, ensuring that it serves a valuable purpose in your survival
efforts.
Rationing resources means controlling and limiting their distribution.
Instead of using up all your resources at once, you need to carefully
portion them out over time to sustain yourself in the game. This
involves considering how much of a particular resource you can afford
to consume or use at a given moment, while keeping in mind the need
to preserve resources for future challenges.
The resources you will need to manage include essential items like food,
which provides sustenance and energy, and water, which is vital for
hydration. Ammunition is necessary for self-defense against zombies or
other threats, ensuring you have the means to fight back. Additionally,
other supplies such as medical kits, crafting materials, or tools also need
to be managed effectively to maintain your long-term survival.
8. Researcher/Scout: you have a specific role in gathering important
information about the environment. This role involves understanding
the behavior and weaknesses of the zombies, as well as identifying
potential safe zones or escape routes.
Gathering information means actively seeking out details and clues
about the zombie town. This includes observing the behavior patterns
of the zombies, how they move, and their interactions with the
environment. By closely studying their behavior, you can gain insights
into their strengths, weaknesses, and any predictable patterns they may
follow.
17
Understanding the behavior of the zombies refers to comprehending
how they act and react in different situations. This knowledge helps you
anticipate their movements, avoid unnecessary confrontations, or
exploit their vulnerabilities. For example, you might discover that
certain zombies are slower or more easily distracted, allowing you to
devise strategies to bypass or defeat them effectively.
Identifying weaknesses involves pinpointing the specific vulnerabilities
or limitations of the zombies. These weaknesses can vary, such as a
particular sensitivity to light or noise, reduced mobility, or a reliance on
certain senses.
