2. The first shot that we see of the music video ' moon and me' by the
drums is a medium close up of a female. Instantly we recognize that
she is a young attractive female, the theorist Laura Mulvey will argue
that she has been placed in this music video for the purpose of the
'male gaze' this is reinforced through the mise­en­scene as she is
shown to be wearing red lipstick and a red shirt, the colour red
possibly having the connotations of being sexual. As for the
background of this shot it's very minimal bringing attention to the
female.
