Our target audience for the psychological thriller would be teens, middle aged individuals, and older viewers. We aim to attract teens and middle aged people through our casting and costumes, while also appealing to older viewers with the content. As our production targets youth, we can promote it for free on social media and the internet to reach this younger demographic. The piece features a strong female main character capable of the same feats as male characters, providing a more pluralistic female perspective compared to traditional patriarchal media portrayals. It shows a class power struggle where a lower class female gains physical control over a higher class male businessman by the end, though he maintains mental control by appearing prepared and accepting of the situation.

2. The majority of people who watch psychological thrillers are older with gender split
pretty evenly. We decoded we could get more teen/middle aged audience because of
our casting and costume, as well as the content attracting the older audience. As our
production also targets a younger audience, we can use the power of social media and
the internet to market our production for free.
Some of the attraction from females to our piece is the casting of a female as one of the
main roles and showing the female as a strong character, capable of the things men
are. Mulvey said that the patriarchal control of the media means everyone looks at
gender in the way men look at gender. We showed a more pluralistic view of females
by giving the female character physical control of the situation at the end of the
construction

3. The male in our piece is middle aged and wearing the attire of a businessman. The
style of his costume immediately puts him in a middle/higher middle social class. To
contrast this, the female is wearing the costume of a stereotypical teenager; hoops and
hoodie. Suggesting she is that of lower class.
The power battle of the class system is shown throughout our piece and by the end of
the construction, the female has physical control of the situation, however the last
shot is a close up of the males face and his performance shows him accepting of the
situation and prepared for it all along, showing he has the mental control of the
situation and how despite the male being ‘shot’ he has ‘won’ in the fact he shows he
knows what the situation entails
