ECOSYSTEM
An ecosystem consists of:
 The physical environment. This consists of th enon-living
components that surround and influence living things. The
physical environment’s main elements are: water, air and
soil.
 The biological environment. This consists of all of the
living things and the ways in which they interact.
Ecosystems are divided into natural and artificial
ecosystems:
-Natural ecosystems are those that have evolved
spontaneously. They may be terrestial or aquatic.
-Artificial ecosystems are those created by humans.
WHAT IS BIODIVERSITY?
Biodiversity is the variety of living things on Earth. Biodiversity
is beneficial to humans. It is very important to preserve and
protect biodiversity.
In Spain, there are many areas where ecosystems are protected.
The most important are national parks, such as Doñana and
Sierra Nevada.
