RENEWABLE ENERGY:
Renewable energy can be generated
continuously practically without decay of
sources.
Example: Solar energy, Wind energy,
Hydro energy.
NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY:
Non renewable energy is that comes
from the ground and is not replaced in a
relative short amount of time.
Example: Combustion of fossil fuel,
coal, etc.
WHAT IS SOLAR ENERGY
 Solar energy can energy produced by the sun
 It is clean, renewable sources of energy.
 Harnessed by solar collection methods such as solar cell.
 It is converted into usable energy such as electricity.
 When a light of certain frequency fall on the surface of a metal.
 Electrons will absorb the energy.
 If incident light is greater than the work function (minimum energy
required to remove the loosely bound valance of electrons )of the
metal.
 Then the photo electrons will be emitted .
 The excess energy is converted to kinetic energy of electron.
 When solar panels are placed in the sunlight photons will strike the
surface and emits electron .
 As a result electron hole pair is created in the solar cells.
 When external circuit is connected to the solar cell, electrons flow in
the circuit and current is generated.
SAVE TIME:
After the initial investment has been recovered , the energy from the sun is
practically free.
Financial incentives are available from the government that will reduce your
cost
ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY :
As we see previously, it does not pollute air.
solar energy is clean, renewable sustainable and helping to protect our
environment.
It’s not affected by the supply and demand of fuel and is therefore not
subjected to ever –increase price of gasoline.
It’s does not creating a global warming (or) acid rain, smog.
It actively contribution to the decrease of harmful green house gas emission
 Old solar cell plants take up of large land area.
 It can damage fragile desert ecosystem.
 Need backup system at night and during cloudy /rainy days.
 Solar plants costly to build.
 The current produced is DC and converted into AC increases
the cost.

 The car name is TESLA, it can travel around
620 miles with an hour of charging.
 Its maximum speed is 250mph.

tower to receive the focused sunlight.

expensive curved glass[3]

hectares (1,500,000 m2) to 320
hectares (3,200,000 m2).
Quaid-e-Azam solar park
The Quaid-e-Azam solar park in planned to be a 1000 megawatt
photovoltaic power station in Bahawalpur, Punjab.

 Concave mirror used in solar furnace . The
solar panel is placed at the focus of the large
concave reflector.
 The concave reflector focus the sun’s rays
heated on the furnace and the high
temperature is achieved.
 The temperature can go as high as 3500°C
 Concave mirror cost Rs.80 per square feet.
 We have proved that after our stores of oil and coal
are exhausted the human race can receive unlimited
power from the rays of the sun.

 Solar energy will show the new face of our world
through green energy.

  • 3. RENEWABLE ENERGY: Renewable energy can be generated continuously practically without decay of sources. Example: Solar energy, Wind energy, Hydro energy. NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY: Non renewable energy is that comes from the ground and is not replaced in a relative short amount of time. Example: Combustion of fossil fuel, coal, etc.
  • 4. WHAT IS SOLAR ENERGY  Solar energy can energy produced by the sun  It is clean, renewable sources of energy.  Harnessed by solar collection methods such as solar cell.  It is converted into usable energy such as electricity.

  • 6.  When a light of certain frequency fall on the surface of a metal.  Electrons will absorb the energy.  If incident light is greater than the work function (minimum energy required to remove the loosely bound valance of electrons )of the metal.  Then the photo electrons will be emitted .  The excess energy is converted to kinetic energy of electron.  When solar panels are placed in the sunlight photons will strike the surface and emits electron .  As a result electron hole pair is created in the solar cells.  When external circuit is connected to the solar cell, electrons flow in the circuit and current is generated.

It’s not affected by the supply and demand of fuel and is therefore not subjected to ever –increase price of gasoline. It’s does not creating a global warming (or) acid rain, smog. It actively contribution to the decrease of harmful green house gas emission

  1. This prototype is a lightweight tile that consists of three main components. There are optical reflectors that concentrate the sunlight, photovoltaic cells that convert the sunlight to electricity, and an integrated circuit that converts the electricity to radiofrequency energy, which can be transmitted to Earth through an attached antenna. Many individual tiles can be strung together to form large solar arrays in space. A ground-based microwave receiver on Earth would be used to intercept the incoming radiofrequency energy and convert it back into useable electricity.
