2. Q3: Photoshop
■ For the construct of my magazine, I mainly used PhotoshopCS4 to edit the photos I took and to
organise the layout of my magazine.
■ During the process of the construct, I used various tools that such as the gradient tool, to create
the background of the contents pages and the eraser tool to edit a picture I used in my double
page spread.
■ The magic eraser tool was used to remove any unwanted strands of hair that was a nuisance to
the image, in order to edit the photo into a clean cut photo that can be used for the double page
spread in my magazine.The gradient tool was use to create the vibrant background of the
contents page that will appeal to the target audience.The polygonal tool was used in order for me
to easily cut the image cleanly and neatly instead of using an eraser tool and it this tool also
allows me to have control of the selection.The gives the illusion that the image was professionally
edited and that it will look visually pleasing.

3. Q4: Software
■ A software that I used to create the plan of my
magazine was Microsoft Word, with the use of simple
shapes and multiple text boxes.
■ However, the main software I used was Photoshop to
edit the photos and organised them on the front cover,
the contents page and the double page spread. For
example in the double page spread, I had to write the
article and it had to surround the main image in the
center, thus creating the effect that the article was
written around the image and portraying editing skills.
■ There were some difficulties in terms of unnecessary
selecting of different layers as well as resizing of some
images that were used. I overcome this problem by
asking for assistance from the internet and from my
colleagues with experience in Photoshop.
■ This could have been easier I used a different software
such as InDesign, to help with the writing aspect of the
magazine such as the writing in the contents page such
as the headlines on the cover page, the articles
included in the magazine and the article for the double
page spread.

4. Q4: Hardware
■ The hardware that was use during this process was the computer that I used for the construct
was the desktop computer that contained the softwares that was used for the construct such
as Photoshop.
■ Another hardware I used was an IPhone 6 camera to capture images such as the main image
used for the cover and the double page spread. Although, it was a mobile phone, the quality of
the image that was taken was very clear.Another factor of the clear photo was also because of
the natural lighting facing the model.The same device was used to take the concert photos
such as the photos from KCON, John Legend and Royal Pirates.These are concerts that I have
been to and that is featured in my magazine.

5. Q4: Online
■ In terms of online technology, I usedWix to create my website. There were features where I was
able to upload photo’s, text box, shapes such as arrows and many more.
■ I also used google drive in order to share works with my teacher and share photo’s to myself. By
sharing any work to my teacher allowed me to have fast feedback that efficiently helped me
further improve my website .
