2. Front, Back and SpineThis is the design for the front
cover of my album as well as
the back and spine. The front
cover is the most important as
this is what people will see on
the shelve so it really needs to
stand out. On my particular I
have used red as the main
theme this is because it is a
bright colour and will stand out
when people are looking at it in
the shop. The main thing that
you notice when you look at my
front cover is the text this is the
most important as the album
name is clearly presented as
well as the artists name. When
planning my Digipak I looked at
similar ones from the same
genre to give me an idea of the
composition and other
conventions used in rap albums.
The main picture is my
actor standing next to a
sports car this is to show his
rich lifestyle and how he
progressed from the
bottom. This is also a
convention in rap to have
an expensive car and he
will also be following
another convention as we
will be wearing expensive
clothes. On the back cover
my artist will be standing in
front of a brick wall with his
arms folded , when this
picture will be taken there
will be a space on the left
hand side of him where I will
put the tack list. On the
spine there will just be the
album name with the artist
name and also the
production logo.
3. Inside and CD
This is the inside and CD design for my Digipak, for my CD I will have the album name
on the CD print and then the actual disk will be the exact same so when you take
away the disk it is exactly the same as below so it fits in. On the other side for the
inside design I will have the album name at the top and then a medium shot will be
used for another image of my artist doing a pose which shows of his jewellery.
