4. ANALYSIS OF
FIRST IDEA
My first idea for my makeup advert was to have three models. I want each model to have different
representation of different types of makeup colours and styles to relate to my target audience. The models all
need different tones so it shows that this type of makeup is beautiful on all faces.
I don’t want a basic advert with a white background from using a green screen; I want it to look
enchanted and mystic. I want it to involve nature with a natural range and a bright range.
I want my location to be in a forest and fields as it shows nature and to make it look enchanted and
mystic. I want the models to wear all white and dress as angels and fairies to give it a girly magical look.
All the models are going to have a wide variety of looks and colour choices. I want the models to wear
all white so that the makeup stands out a lot more.
My product is going to be MUA as they have never been advertised before so it gives me an easy
spectrum to work on. As MUA has never been advertised
I want to have all different camera angles so that the models look free and using close ups will
show off their makeup.
The logo of MUA looks very professional and stands out as it has a contrast of black and white.
Therefore I want my advert to look professional and I need to think about where the logo should be placed. I
also think this modern theme helps attract my target audience. My target audience is aged around 15-24.
5. ANALYSIS OF SECOND
IDEA
My second idea is to do an advertisement on Rimmel
London. I want to have one model walking around London
with red, blue and white make up. The location I would use is
the London eye and standing outside Big Ben and also
filming places such as oxford street with the model wearing
high heels.
I want it to be simple yet effective filming so therefore I wont
have to spend as long filming and more time editing. As I
have one model I believe it will help my audience concentrate
more on one product that the model is wearing.
I was going to advertise a type of mascara and show the
model without mascara and then have her with the mascara
showing how it works. I also want a logo of Rimmel at the
bottom of the screen. This helps
6. SELECTION AND
JUSTIFICATION
I have chosen to do an advert on MUA as the products have
great feedback and I have a blank canvas to work on. I think
that this advert will work well with my target audience and I
could imagine my idea to work well.
MUA has gone global which is another reason why it will be
great to do a advertisement on there products as I have a big
market to look at. Also the prices are

stated

11. ANALYSIS OF IDEA
DEVELOPMENT AFTER
FEEDBACK
I am happy I carried out my questionnaire to my peers it
makes me a lot more confident upon my idea. I obviously
know the weather is out of my control therefore I will have to
keep checking the weather forecast 2 days before shooting
so that I can deal with any cancelations for that matter. I
would like my models now to wear white or black to therefore
show off there make up. I am using models near enough the
same age to my target audience to make my overall
production more trendy. I have decided to go along with the
dream like type theme this way my audience will feel to be in
a mystical world. Also after hearing feedback and looking
into psychographics I have come up with a slogan. My
slogan is named ‘MUA you in a different light’. This is
because I want my audience to believe they are beautiful by
wearing this make-up.
12. AGE
My age of my target audience ranges from 15-30. This is
because from working in Superdrug I get a real insight into
who buys the MUA products. Although it can sometimes vary
and therefore I have given my advert a bit more of a gap to
work upon.
But as I said the target audience is going to be between 15-
30.
13. GENDER
Obviously as we are talking about make-up it would generally
appeal only to women.
