CONTENT
 In this system we have introduced a
Shopping Card for the Customers that will
facilitate them while shopping.
 This new system will help in making the
buying and selling process more effective
and accurate.
INTRODUCTION
Every Customer upon his arrival in the Mall will
receive a shopping Card that will contain a ID
Number.
The Customer after buying an item from a particular
shop will give his Shopping Card to the Seller.
The Seller would then track the price of the item
through a bar-code reader and update it in the
System on the ID i.e. allotted to the customer.
Method of Usage
Method of Usage
After completing his shopping, the customer can later
proceed to the main counter where he would pass the
Shopping Card to the Cashier.
The cashier, after entering the ID in the
system/software developed, will get a list of the
items bought and their prices and would make the
total bill.
The Customer has the option to either pay the bill in
Cash or through a Credit Card.

Hardware
The hardware used:
o A bar code reader
o LED’s
o Printers.
o One server with all devices that are connected
through LAN networking.
o Computer Systems
o Networking Cables
o Power Supply
HARDWARE
Types of Memory Used
There are three types of Memory:
a) CODE MOMERY
Code memory is the memory that holds the actual
programs that is to be run. This memory is limited to 64Kb. Code
memory may be found on-chip or off-chip.
b) FLASH MEMORY
Flash memory (sometimes called "flash hard disk") is a type of
constantly-powered non volatile that can be erased and
reprogrammed in units of memory called blocks.
Types of Memory Used
C) INTERNAL RAM
The program have a bank of 128 bytes of
internal RAM. The internal RAM is found on-
chip.
It is the fastest Ram available.
CONT..
 FLASH
Low-cost, high-density, high-speed architecture; low power; high reliability
 ROM
Read-Only Memory
High-density, reliable, low cost; time-consuming mask required, suitable
for high production with stable code
 SRAM
Static Random-Access Memory
Highest speed, high-power, low-density memory; limited density drives up
cost
 EPROM
Electrically Programmable Read-Only Memory
High-density memory; must be exposed to ultraviolet light for erasure
Features of Memory
Hardware Explanation
A controller consists :
o Powerful CPU tightly coupled with memory
o Various I/O interfaces such as serial port
o If a system is developed with a microprocessor, the designer
has to go for external memory such as RAM, ROM, EPROM
and peripherals.
o But controller is provided all these facilities on a single chip.
o Parallel port timer or counter
o Digital to Analog converter, integrated on to a single silicon
chip.
FURTHER HARDWARE
The software used include:
1. Microsoft Visual Studio.
2. Eclipse.
3. Microsoft Excel.
SOFTWARE
Function of Software
o Arithmetic Instructions:
These instructions perform several basic operations
(addition, subtraction, division, multiplication etc.) After
execution, the result is stored in the first operand. For example:
o Data Transfer Instructions:
These instructions move the content of one register to
another one. The register which content is moved remains
unchanged.
FUNCTION OF SOFTWARE
How this Software works?
All Employs will have a unique ID and password
which they get by registering to software when
they you first time.
Without ID no one can use this software.
There are 2 different things in this software.
1. Administration’s Account.
2. Non-Administration’s Account.
 Both account have different features.
Functionality
TIMERS
o On-chip timing/counting facility has proved
the capabilities of the microcontroller for
implementing the real time application.
o These includes pulse counting, frequency
measurement, pulse width measurement, baud
rate generation, etc,.
TIMER
Advantages
 Promotion of Business.
 To maintain accounts.
 Time Saving.
 Product Availability.
 Assured Maintenance.
 Check and balance.
 Standard Software.
 Errors Free.
