I createda mediacampaignformy film9:00. Ithad a targetaudience of 12-18 so I chose three platforms
whichwould effectively targetthatdemographic.Icreateda trailer,posterandtwitterpage. My
strategywasto release more andmore contentas it gotcloserto the release date tocreate anticipation.
Poster
Thisis the posterI made for myfilm.Itsbenlooking directly intothe lens
of the cameramakingdirectmode of address withthe audience.I
uploadedittomy twitterpage. Andthisisone of the commentsI
received.
Thisis greatfeedback;Iwantedtosee this.The postersintentwasto
portray Benas a likable characterand I'm happythat I can get that
across effectively tothe audience.
I askeda friendtowhois a photographertolookat the posterand she
said“i like thatyougot himto give a happyexpressioninthe close up.It
reallyhelpsshow hisemotiontobe happyanduplifting. Therefore, Icansay the filmwill be uplifting”.
Basedon the feedbackIgot onthe posterI can confidentlysayitwaseffective.Peoplewhohave seen
the posterknowthe filmmustbe a comedy because of hisfacial expressionwhichwasexactlywhatI
wanted.
Trailer
I createda short 19 second teasertrailershowingthe startof the movie.I believe the traileriseffective
as showsthe tone of the movie.Youknow something urgentishappeningandthat it'sa race against
time. Anotherreasoni amhappywithit wasthat it managedto get50 views.Ibelieve thisis partially
because I promoteditthroughmy twitter. However, if Iwasto create anothermediacampaign, Iwould
release afull trailer. The responsetothistraileronitsown createdconfusion rathertospeculation.
Thisis a commentI
receivedinthe commentsectionof the video. Ifullyagree withwhatSkylersaysabouthavingnoclue to
the plotfrom thistrailer. If you haven'tlookedatthe twitterpage youwouldbe confusedto the plot
and that's notreallywhatyouwant; some people maywatchthe trailerandquestionwhatit'sabout
thengo to the @ whichison the endscreen, butotherswon't.If I createda full trailermostviewerswill
2. visitthe twitterpage. If I was to create a
secondtrailer,Iwouldputtitle cardsin like”
One man’sstruggle”then”to be on time for
college”orsomethingalongthose lines.
Basedon the feedback I've received Ican say
that althoughIwas effectiveincreating intrigue,
I wouldalsosayI was too vague.Maybe the
questionI shouldhave made the audience ask
wasn’t“where ishe going?”“whyis he ina
hurry?” maybe itshouldhave been“will he
make it on time”. If I was to create another
trailer, Iwouldmake itfull length(2-3minutes)
and showmore of the plotand try make itclear whatthe filmwasabout.
Twitterpage
I createda twitterpage for mymovie asI know a lotof marketingcampaignsdothis. Ichose Twitter
since I coulduse hashtagsmore effectively.Hashtagshelp popularizeaproduct, sotheyare very
effectiveinamarketingcampaign. Anotherreasonto choose twitterwasthatitsmore popularinmy
demographicof 12 – 18-year old's. I have startedtweetingonmytwitterpage 27 of February and
wouldhave until the releasedate butthathad to be pushedbackas of the Covid19 pandemic.Igave an

effectiveasIam engagingwiththe
audience,askingwhattheythinkwill

the audience is effective asitmakesthe
audience feelappreciatedand apartof
the filmwhichwill make the wantto
watch the movie
3. I createda teasertrailerand released itonmy
twitterpage sothat people whofollowthe page
mightsee itand go checkthe trailer. Iusedthe
hashtag#oneMansStruggle. I've used this hashtag
throughout my posts. It also appears at the end of my
trailer and it’s the @ for my twitter page and is a
shortened tagline for the film. This was to create a
memorable tagline so that people knew all my products
were linked.
I was happy to see this comment as it shows
me that people are following the twitter to
see updates as they happen.
I had a friend look over the twitter page and
he said “the issue with it is that I posted stuffon the same day, it would have been better if posts were posted every
other day instead of a couple on the same day” I showed others this comment and like myself they agreed. I whole
heartedly agreed with the statement. It would be better to post consistently overtime rather to multiple posts on the
same day because if I posted themevery other day it would keep my audience coming back. This is something I will
do in my next marketing campaign.
Based on the feedback on the twitter page I would say that it was effective in marketing the film. In my next
marketing campaign, I would change a couple things, however. In my next campaign I would make multiple media
pages. One on every major social media to reach as many people as I could. I would also post more regularly.
However, I think my twitter page was successfulas it had a memorable hashtag which linked to the tagline in the
postercreating cohesion. Also, from the twitter page you got a clear idea what the film is about, you get to know the
protagonist and when its coming out.
Conclusion
I believe my campaign was effective, but I've learned from feedback things I could do better. I believe my poster
was most effective as it conveyed the tone of the film which is what a posteris supposed to do.I would say my
trailer was leas effective as if you’ve seen only the trailer you may be more confused than intrigued; ive learned
from this feedback and would have created a more informitive trailer if I was to do this campain again. I believe my
twitter was very effective as it was sort of the hub for all the media for the film; however if I was to do it again I
would make a instergram account and a facebook account too to reach as many people as I
