Improper drainage system causes waterlogging on the road.
Reason behind this problem
 Over and above disposal of solid waste into the drains
and drainage paths are accounted for the prime causes
of blockage in drainage system and water logging
 Inadequate drainage sections
 Absence of inlets and outlets
 Lack of proper maintenance of existing drainage system
Solutions
 Using impermeable materials
 Installing under path drainage system
 The existing drains and also those will be constructed
shall have to cleaned at regular interval
 Maintenance and cleaning of drains shall have to done at
least once in every year specially before starting of
monsoon season

Lidless drains in several places occurs bad odor and
sometimes accidents too.

 Cover the manholes & strict rules for stealing those.

Under Construction Buildings Beside The Road
Some buildings that are currently being constructed beside the road without providing any
safety. That may causes accident and public harm.

 Ignorance to the basic rules of construction safety by
the companies.
 Unawareness about the danger that can happen from it

 Maintain strict rules about safety materials so that all
construction companies must follow
 Using safety net
 Using modern instruments
 Using skilled workers

Cars are parked on the road which causes the road to be narrowed and occurs traffic jam in peak
hours.

• Air pollution from the estimated 3,000 vehicles per hour
• Since 2016, the avenue has been closed to motor traffic on the
first Sunday of every month
• It is announced that the city would transform the Champs-
Élysées into an "extraordinary garden"
• Vision 2030 has taken to create more pedestrian space, and
create "tunnels of trees" for improved air quality

the city, such as the marathon and the annual
cycling race, various demonstrations, and the
record-breaking square dance of the city's high-

 It was a busy four-lane road with
the large volume of pedestrian and
bus traffic
 A car-oriented traffic road

 From car-oriented, the road is transformed into
a space which gives priority to public transport,
pedestrians and cyclists
 By placing two pairs of large bus stations the
street truly becomes a central transport hub for
public transport
 The complete arrangement ties the fragmented
area together into a uniform space with a
prominently green character.

 Through narrowing of the roadway there is now
more space for pedestrians, cyclists and
restaurant and bar gardens
 The urban furniture of the street encourages
people to stop and rest in the space
 Despite the large volume of pedestrian and bus
traffic it is designed as a “shared space”, a space,
where users participate equally, and height
differences are reduced to a minimum.
Transport System
 By designing a space which promotes
sustainable mobility and public transport in the
very center, the city has made a key step in it's
transport policy
 The absence of personal motor traffic allows for
the expansion of programs and the creation of
a space with its own character.
 This allows for an optimized bus transportation
service
Vegetation & Drainage System
• A new tree line of manna ash trees was planted
on the eastern side of the street, which is lit by
the afternoon sun.
• The manna ash trees are resistant to the urban
environment, and will adorn the space with
white flowers in the spring and bright yellow
foliage in the fall.
• Drainage system is connected with the vegetation
as it is established within the tree plantation
system.
