Expository essay is one that is characterized by providing the reader with a
detailed explanation of a given topic.
The exhibition has a clear didactic purpose. It explains something that is
complex to understand.
It is logical that in these essays, the use of explanatory or expository
paragraphs is a fundamental part.
characteristics
1.Accuracy and clarity of ideas
2. Impersonal character of syntactic constructions
3. Formal language registration
4. Utilitarian and / or didactic nature
• Inform others about any topic, which we have researched in advance.
• Pretend to explain, clarify a topic to others they want to learn or
deepen what they already know.
• Try to understand certain phenomena or realities, thereby modifying
the state of knowledge.
1. Provocative question
EXAMPLE: "Thanks to the multiple electrical devices and the Internet, it is
possible to stay 'online' practically all day long, both at home and in the
office, and that human's innate creativity has led us to develop a technology
