The document discusses a plan by a student group to incorporate more sports activities at their university in order to motivate students and help them develop holistically. It notes that many educational institutions lack sports facilities and that promoting physical activity could help students spend free time productively and reduce stress. The students believe sports can socialize emotions and strengthen individual and collective skills. They acknowledge potential challenges to implementing the plan like lack of teacher support but emphasize the importance of a well-organized proposal that outlines the benefits of sports for students.

Educational management, the name implies, operates in the educational organizations. There is no defining definition of educational management because its development has drawn heavily on several disciplines like economics, political science and sociology.

Being enrolled in the MS in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psych.docxtaitcandie
Being enrolled in the MS in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology program has truly added to my personal and professional growth. First of all, the program has allowed me to virtually meet many colleagues within the educational/psychology field. I have learned a lot from reading my colleagues discussions and opinions. The program has allowed me to organize my time better and become more responsible. For example, many personal plans were cancelled due to studying (which I have learned to appreciate).
As an elementary teacher, I normally used to refer Special Educational Needs students to the school’s SEN department. There is only so much you can do as a teacher! However, this program has helped me understand learning disabilities, developmental pathways, psychological disorders and much more. I’ve found the course material to be very useful when it comes to interventions and helping children. Now, I can hopefully utilize my new knowledge in the classroom. Most importantly, this program has taught me to become more sensitive towards the unique needs of children/adults.
Being an advocate of social change is important. “In many societies around the world, teachers are looked upon as the individuals who can help to bring about positive changes in the lives of people.” (Bourn, 2016, p. 63). Learning, global education and education development are closely related to personal and social change elements (Bourn, 2016). Studies suggest that teachers need to look beyond raising awareness of specific issues; they needs to encourage students to have their own voice, take action and promote their own unique skills to make a difference (Bourn, 2016). The MS program has taught me to create my own mission of social change to inspire children (students) to act in positive manners. I will try my best to be a social change agent within my classroom by fighting harmful stereotypes, applying theory/ evidence based information to practice, creating an anti-bias environment and educating ‘the whole child’, focusing on their social-emotional development in addition to their learning experiences. To contribute to social change, I must be knowledgeable about specific problems and the reasons contributing to those problems. To contribute to social change, I will try to allow students to practice how to think, instead of what to think.
Finally, one person who has truly offered their support during the entire program is my husband, Karim. Karim has offered much emotional support and encouragement during these 2 years, he also offered help and advice. These 2 years have passed by very quickly! He was truly patient and understanding while listening to many of my psychological analyses (many of them could be wrong I presume :D) . I dedicate my degree to him and ofcourse to all my colleagues and professors in the program who were supportive.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The plan chosen in the previous forum is very important to generate leadership students, as
the sport motivates students, the sport allows students to leave the routine, so they can
release their stress, lead to out in institutions education plans to help students spend their
free time in spaces that promote physical activity achieved the institutions to improve their
educational quality is of note that many educational institutions in the country do not have
sports facilities, but these projects can be the pretext to achieve the cooperation of
municipal authorities in the allocation of resources to have sports facilities.
From the family, from educational institutions and from society itself, it has been perceived
lack or absence of a sensible reality in training or proper guidance. Aware of this
shortcoming, the working group number 4 educational management course, we choose a
plan that aims respond to spontaneous awareness from artistic, sporting and cultural, from
the relationship: object-subject, where internalized and becomes experience from everyday
life, from teachability and from the educabilidad, enhancing skills and abilities that lead to the
strengthening of an integral man, that combines and projects into their identity some as
essential dimensions such as communicative (in the socio-emotional) and body aspect
(motor).
IDEAS ON WHAT THE IMPLICATIONS OF CARRYING
OUT THEIR PLAN FROM COLLABORATIVE TASK 1
WOULD BE IN THE INSTITUTION
3. Luisa Ruiz, says "The practice of sport is optimal
for most people and even more for teenagers.
It will not only help your physical, but it will help
prevent harmful habits such as consumption of
snuff, alcohol or drugs" (Ruìz, 2016)
Sport can socialize feelings because it becomes
a direct means of expression, which is reflected
on stage, on paper or specific material and
especially in the soul, because as mentioned
above, art sensitizes and strengthens the
development of various individual and collective
skills that are part of its human dimension, and
that in turn calls or meets a whole educational
community as a space of culture and recreation
which discloses values, virtues and skills which
together make up and provide a healthy
recreation.
4. ANA MILENA RÌOS
I think that carrying out this plan is possible with the right
arguments in order to make everyone understand how
important it is to practice sports. Some advantages of this plan
are the organization and the planning itself. I think that if there
is an organized plan with all the directions explained in detail
students will feel that it is a good idea with many benefits and
would follow all the directions given. Also, I think that through
sports students increase their motivation and interest because
they would feel happy to be doing something that they like and
that is fun, therefore they interest in school will increase. A
disadvantage when carrying out this plan could be the no
support from other teachers, there are always teachers that
don´t believe in sports as part of the education so they never
support sport events and have bad attitude towards them. For
that reason, it is very important to have a well organized plan
with all the information about what is going to be done, with
the advantages and benefits it would bring to the students.
5. JOSÈ MAURICIO AVILA
When we try to practice any sport in a school, we find some obstacles to
do it, but the most common problems are the lack of special
teachers, sport equipment and sport grounds.
The first step we have to take is to give the students the motivation to
the sports and teach them to understand the need to practice it. The
institutions must have the appropriate places to practice the sports, and
all the equipment. To carry out this plan, the school must have a schedule
with extra hours in order to have time to practice the sports, this mean
that teachers and parents have to dispose of extra time, but this is
sometimes a problem because there is not enough time for them.
Carrying out this plan lets the students to practice sports and have a good
free time, because the sport lets them to avoid things like drugs, alcohol
or sedentary lifestyle. The results of practising sports in the school are
very beneficial to the academic development, also when they spend a lot
of time in these activities; they begin to realize that sports are the best
way to carry out a good life.
6. I think all of us have the same idea about sports,
we believe that is necessary to practice sports in the schools,
with the commitment of the family and teachers.
7. ANDREA AGUIRRE
This is true reality of life is the lack of commitment by teachers, to
students , parents lack of cooperation of the parties, which should
undertake to encourage, more activities to avoid social problems such
says the classmate.
We choose sports as a healthy manner in colleges, schools,
universities, institutions, it is important to make a prototype school
activities where teachers administrators, students, to participate,
commit the downside is the negative impact of no help society, not
compromise.
