The systems perspective views organizations as complex systems where interdependent parts work together towards common goals. It emphasizes that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The theory originated from Isaac Newton's view of the universe and was further developed by biologist Ludwig von Bertalanffy into general systems theory. This perspective sees organizations as needing constant communication within their environment and between interdependent parts to function effectively. When applying this to the NWSF organization, their lack of communication among interdependent parts led to the system breaking down and the event being cancelled.
