5. Heroes in our school
In our school, we have a lot of interesting
people. They are talented in lots of different
domains. In this presentation, we will
introduce the best of them to you.
Our heroes are:
6. #1: Volunteer
My name is Ania, I'm 18. I'm a little
bit crazy girl who loves to read and write.
I like a good book and, like almost
everyone, music. I've been working in
voluntary work for 5 years. I started in
middle school... I don't really know why I
decided to become a volunteer, but I
never regretted it. Throughout those few
years, I've taken part in many various
events that always bring me a lot of joy. It
began from small whip-rounds and
ended up in directly helping the needing.
Seeing their gratitude, thankfulness and
happiness, you can really feel amazing.
In my opinion, there's nothing more
satisfactory than helping other people.
7. #2: Volunteer
My name is Klaudia. I'm
nineteen years old. I attend V LO in
Częstochowa. I like music. I often
sing songs when I'm alone in my
house. My hobby is creating
bracelets. I also often help other
people. I'm involved in charity. I was
collecting food for the needing in
supermarket. I was making
sandwiches for pilgrims to
Częstochowa. I helped to organize
Children's Day and Carnival Ball for
the disabled. It's a very interesting
experience. I like it. Me and my
friends enjoy it when we are helping
other people.
8. #3: Sportwoman
My name is Ewelina.
My adventure with volleyball began when I was 10.
I've always been fascinated with all kinds of sport.
Choosing volleyball was random,
but in hindsight it turned out to be right.
I've been training for 9 years
and so far my biggest achievement is the 3rd place in
the nationwide tournament "Puchar Bałtyku" (Baltic Cup).
I don't see myself as a professional volleyball player
in the future because of
of physical conditions, but I surely won't give up this sport.
9. #4: Singer
My name is Weronika. I've been singing for
about 9 years now. I started when I was 9, I just
signed up for some competition, I got chosen
and things went that way... I also play electric
guitar, my sister plays bass and my dad is an
autodidact bassist, he used to play in a band
and he's encouraging us... I like public
performances, but I rather abstain from
competitions, because I don't like that fake
rivalry; I think that singing and generally making
music is for self-development, of course, but
also for the other people... and competitions
aren't always like that. Of course, I've taken part
in a few competitions, but generally I prefer not
to take part in such events. I see my future as a
musician, because I don't see anything else... I
write my own lyrics and think of my own
repertoire, so I plan to live off music.
10. #5: Mathematicians
Angelika Wierus, Sebastian Buksa,
Klaudia Konieczko
The best class of Mrs Karolina
Wojtal has won many math
competitions. Sebastian has
remembered over 200 decimal digits
of pi. Not many people have such a
great memory, so he is a
mathematical hero. Angelika
matched her passion for cooking
with maths. She made a so-called
"math cake". And Klaudia used her
creativity to prepare something very
original – a mathematical wooden
train
11. #6: Dancer
She is a young dancer.
Her favorite dances are hot samba and rhumba
- dance of lovers.
Klaudia started to dance when
she was in primary school.
Her mom took her to a dance class
for the first time.
She remebers that she really didn’t want to go there
because she was ashamed to dance with the boys.
But Klaudia has trained for 10 years.
Now, she is training four times a week.
She dreams about
teaching little children how to dance.
She thinks that dancing is the most amazing way
to show yourself through move.
Klaudia thinks that it's magical.
Dance isn't just steps,but also emotions that you
can show on the dancefloor.
"When I'm dancing, I forget about the whole world.
It's just me, the music, and wonderful life energy."
