It is called the Union Flag because it symbolises the administrative union of the countries of the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom Consists of a group of islands of the northwest coast of Europe.

    • The queen is married to HRH Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, the son of prince and princess Andrew of Greece Denmark. They married on November 1947.

    • Some of the most important people from countries all over the world visit the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
    • There are over 100 theatres in London.

    • Newham is a great place to live and has so many people living here. We are going to have the London 2012 Olympics soon and I am very sure that everyone will have so much fun.

    • We do some of our work on the Internet
    • There are 25 computers in each suite.
    • We have two computer suites
    • We also have two laptop trolleys, each one contains 15 laptops

    • There are many things to do like this climbing frame to play on
    • There are strict rules about the playground
    • The Floor is made of turf so children don’t hurt themselves
