The Republican Party Or Grand Old Party
The Origin, The Change, The Present
The Republican party or Grand Old Party (GOP), for over 150 years, has maintained itself as a
major political party within the United States of America. As a whole, the republican party follows
the belief of military build up ,less taxes, and more importantly, a limited government. However,
throughout recent years there has been an influx of conservative values being spread throughout
the GOP. These values include harsh stances against: homosexuality, immigration, and abortion.
This recent conservative trend has caused many to see the party as out of date. Ironically, it has
not always been like this, as the party was once what would be defined as liberal . These liberal
views included support of conservatism and universal health care(http://www.marketwatch.com
/story/four things republicans used to believe 2011 07 18). So, what happened? In short, the
conservative influx in the 1950s would lead to this drastic change of views, which would lead us
to today s far right republican party. In order to
The Origins Of the Republican Party
The GOP would begin in the early 1850 s as an Antislavery party in do part to the Kansas
Nebraska Act of 1854 . Within this act entailed whether or not slavery could be permitted on
nebraska land by settlers and entrepreneurs who wanted to relocate there .
This in turn allowed each territory to decide the issue of slavery on the basis of popular

The Corrupted In The Chocolate War
The Chocolate War is a novel full of corrupt school spirit while they are fundraising to sell
chocolates. There is little difference between teachers and students at Trinity High School because
both teachers and students use psychological warfare, fear and manipulation. They both give
assignments and punishments and they do not want their corrupt system to be disturbed.
There is little difference between teachers and students because both teachers and students use
psychological warfare, fear and manipulation. In the novel, this is demonstrated by students, when
Archie shows manipulation. Emile, stick with me. All the way. And you can t go wrong. We need
men like you. This establishes the manipulative nature and psychological warfare because ... Show

This is indicated when Archie gives Jerry an assignment, the assignment is a Vigil s assignment.
Jerry s refusal is because of The Vigils he is to refuse the chocolates for ten days, and then accept
them. Jerry is loyal to this assignment for the first ten days but after that Jerry still refuses to sell
the chocolates. This causes Archie to punish Jerry, and it depicts how the students also give
punishments. Archie gives another assignment to Goober, which is to partially unscrew every
screw in the chairs and tables of Brother Eugene s room number nineteen. However, The Goober
follows the assignment therefore showing no punishment. Similarly, the teachers demonstrate
punishments when someone does something wrong. Brother Leon accuses Bailey for cheating
because he gets straight A s. He threatens Bailey to a punishment. After Brother Leon has a talk
with Bailey, he accuses the class for not sticking up for their classmate. Brother Leon gives
everyone an assignment to sell fifty boxes of chocolates each. Thus, this manifests how teachers
give out assignments. This system of assignments and punishments is so ingrained in the school
that they do not want to disturb the

Fast And Furious Argumentative Themes
Justin Lin s film entitled Fast and Furious portrays when a crime brings them back to the main
streets of Los Angeles, fugitive ex convict Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and agent Brian O Conner
(Paul Walker) reignite their high octane feud. However, when a common enemy rears his head,
Dom and Brian must learn how to work together and trust one another in order to defeat him. Pop
culture is everything. Movies, of course, are the ultimate in pop culture is a combination of almost
every known art form turned into a powerful fury of sound and image that impact everything from
t shirt sales to politics to how we see ourselves as men, women and Americans. Some movies

In the libertine racing world Dom and Brian inhabit, they are constantly surrounded by
impossibly hot and willing women. They not only faithfully go home to Letty and Mia every
night, they re not even tempted with any hot women outside there. A well crafted film can
explore moral themes through characters that commit immoral acts. Other than my faith,
individual freedom is a value I hold higher than any other, and this is the theme that drives the
first five films more than any other. Like many of the cinema s greatest anti heroes, Dom, Letty,
and Mia live outside the law. The films, however, are not justifying or even making glamorous
their criminality. The proof of this is that while we admire their free spirits and refusal to
conform, we also root for them to reform their criminal ways. Dom represents the best of
America, and a dying breed in Hollywood: the rugged, stoic, masculine American individualist
with his own honour code. Dominic Toretto is Gary Cooper, John Wayne. He may live in East
L.A., but he s really a cowboy roaming the West living by his own rules. In a pop culture world
where a disturbing faith in government, narcissism, and ironic distance are treated as values, this
healthy old fashioned message that you got to be your own man in this world is something worth

Personal and Professional Qualities for an Effective Counselor

Abstract
This research paper discusses the qualities that are necessary for an effective counseling and as
such any counselor considered effective must posses them. The paper has a separate discussion of
both personal and professional qualities required for any good counselor. The personal qualities
form a larger part of the discussion because the professional qualities depend wholly on the
individual characteristics since professional qualities alone can t qualify a counselor but effective

This respect will enable a counselor explore chances for change and provide accepted and genuine
attention and caring. More importantly, effective counselors should respect themselves first before
expecting the same to be extended by others. This can be done through building strong realistic and
self worth virtues as well as receiving and giving support to others. They shouldn t isolate
themselves or have any sense of self destructiveness. Furthermore, effective counselor must first
know who they are and what they are capable of doing concerning guidance and counseling before
they get to know their clients. They should have clear goals of what they want o achieve in their
line of career by a clear sense of values and priorities that are very important in attending
individuals who actually need counseling such as drug addicts and family violence victims.
Effective counselors must recognize the limits of their power especially influential and convincing
powers because they may compromise the effectiveness of a counseling program thus they should
be able to tame their power (Whiston, 2009). However, effective counselors do not use their power
for their own gain but to help and support the clients in the best reform procedures. On the other
hand, Gladding (2008) confirm that effective counselors must always be in touch with themselves
especially when dealing with clients who present the same experiences as those of the counselor. In
such cases

The Creation Of Sputnik
On October 4, 1957 the Soviet Union launched a satellite called Sputnik 1 into space. This
marked the start of the space race. Americans were terrified of the chance of the Soviet s sending
missiles from space. However Dwight. D. Eisenhower was not scared and did not do much.
About a month later on November 3, 1957 the Soviets launched a new spacecraft called Sputnik 2.
Sputnik 2 sent the first animal into space, it was named Laika. Lakia did not survive, but the
Russians were in the lead.
America decided to do something so they attempted to send Vanguard, ( satellite, nobody was in it)
on December 6th 1957 into earth s orbit. At that time there was no NASA, the project was under the

They were working on an even bigger rocket than Saturn 5. It was called N 1 and it was intended
for a lunar launch. Unfortunately (fortunate for America) 5 months later the N 1 rocket exploded at
a launch pad.
Although half the nation doubted the launch on May 16th 1 million people came to watch the
launch of Apollo 11 with Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins as the crew. They
were going to watch the launch of a spacecraft that was going to land on the moon.
After the journey to get near the moon at 1:46 p.m. July 20th Armstrong and Aldrin pulled away
from the command module in the landing module named Eagle. Meanwhile Michael Collins was
orbiting the moon alone. At 4:18 on July 20th the Eagle had landed. At 10:56 P.M. July 20th Neil

A Rhetorical Analysis Of Abortion By Rabbi David Novak
To begin it is important to understand halakha which is the jewish law that governs the status of
an unborn fetus and whether or not abortion can occur. First off I will be discussing Rabbi David
Novak from University of Toronto s, short paper titled Abortion , in this article Rabbi David Novak
takes a neutral stance and states that there are two sides to the argument of abortionin Judaism.
Rabbi David Novak starts by stating that the most common belief in modern Judaism is as follows
, On one side are those who see the fetusas a human within a human (Sanhedrin 57b, re Genesis
9:6). On the other side are those who regard the child as a human person only after it emerges
from the womb (Rashi on Sanhedrin 72b, re Ohalot 7.6); before that, it is simply a part of the
mother s body. (Novak).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Traditionally, Jewish belief is considered to be a pro life stance, which is not to argue that a Jew
must actively support the pro life movement just that it is the basis of their core belief system.
The problem with Judaism identifying with pro choice though is that the pro choice movement
is for the most part based on Human ownership of the human body, an idea that directly
contradicts the Jewish dogma that everything belongs to God men s bodies, women s bodies,
anyone s body (Ezekiel 18:4). (Novak). Another issue with abortion in Judaism is that it gives
significant legal and moral room to the mother and those around her, allowing justification for
abortion on a case by case basis as well as the fact that rabbis have never regulated abortion
within the Jewish population. In the Talmud it is said that that only physically present infants are
considered to be legal persons but there are only specific cases where abortion or killing of the
child is considered to be

Video Analysis On Run
The third video, Run, includes more symbolism. However, it is mostly focused on the
relationships that the characters had with each other and their interactions together. Basically, the
group can be paired off into Rap Monster and V, Suga and Jungkook, and J Hope and Jimin. Jin
does not have a partner in this. He is further differentiated from the group in this way, and in the
video he still has his recording motif, as well as looking into the camera. The video starts with V
falling backwards into dark water. The water acts as a mirror in this case, showing him fall from
one side of the mirror into the other. There are shots of him struggling underwater throughout the
video as well. After that, Rap Monster is featured visiting the train tracks where the group was seen
together. In this video, his would be considered the presenttime. When he opens the door to one of
the train cars, he starts a flashback to times when the group was having fun. While the entire video
is meant to be before the members die, these are further flashbacks to when even V has not died,
and they are all having fun together. Some of these moments of fun directly mirror the activities
that the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One explanation of the basic plotline is that first, V kills a man. He is at a loss as to how to
handle this, and ends up killing himself. After that, unable to cope with his not being there, the
rest of the members also commit suicide in various ways, except for Jin. Although the specific
order is not abundantly clear, one can infer that at least Suga dies before Jungkook. Jin, however,
is the only one left alive by the end of this, forced to watch each of his friends disappear without
being able to do anything about it. These hypotheses can be deduced from the symbolism present in
the form of cameras of recordings, butterflies, and mirrors, among

The Uses Of Cloud Computing
The use of cloud computing expands the risk of insider access not only to the staff of cloud
service company but also the consumers of the cloud services. A good example can be drawn
from the denial of service attack launched by a malicious insider as demonstrated by a well
known Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud infrastructure (Sense Post: , 2009). The insider
access risk can be mitigated by deploying technical and administrative procedures that will monitor
the activities of the users with access to the cloud infrastructure. An example of such procedures
include access reviews for users with especially high risk access rights (such as execute access
rights to data objects). These control procedures may be monitored by a third... Show more content

The base cloud service provider here is the provider who provides the primary cloud services
with which the other service providers build their services on. The use of composite cloud
services generates the risk of control over the third party services. The cloud service provider is
required to disclose the relationship with other third parties and terms of service involving the
third party should be clearly defined. The cloud service provider should provide an assurance of
how liability and performance will be achieved in the composite cloud services. The service
agreements should be developed based on the performance capabilities of all the nest cloud
service providers. o Visibility The use of cloud services requires an organization to hand over the
security management procedures of the systems with which the organization s data and
applications operate on to the service provider. Management and technical security control
measures of the service provider should be in alignment with that of the service consumer to
ensure that the security objectives of the consumer is achieved. Research on metrics for
comparing the security procedures and controls between the consumer and service provider is still
underway (Jansen, Directions in Security Metrics Research, 2009). An ideal procedure for gaining
visibility of security requires the service provider to disclose details about their security and
privacy measures to the consumer. Service providers are however sceptical

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest By Donald Trump
Donald Trump s run for presidency brings faithful supporters, angry critics, and a plethora of
headlines. Supportive followers ignore the plentiful reasons that deem Trump unfit for presidency.
For example, on several occasions comments and statements made by Trump paint him as sexist and
racist. In addition, Trump shares similarities with Adolf Hitler, an unsettling realization. However,
those who support Donald Trumpargue that his economic experience as well as his honesty
outweigh the long list of his faults.
America, a country considered a melting pot, requires a president capable of accepting those of
different races and religions. Donald Trump s openly racist remarks disqualify him from holding
presidency. In a speech, Trump made the assertion that all Muslim people should be barred from
entering the U.S. (Pulliman Moore). In response, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest stated
What Donald Trump said yesterday disqualifies him from serving as president (Pulliman Moore). In
addition, House Speaker Paul Ryan insisted that religious freedom was a fundamental
Constitutional principle (Pulliman Moore). Trump clearly crossed the line with his comment.
Displaying islamophobia violates the right of religious freedom, as granted by the First
Amendment. Presidential obligations include respecting and upholding the Constitution and the
Bill of Rights and Trump proves incapable of carrying out that responsibility.
In addition to racism, Trump proves sexist as

Histoy of Blackbeard the Pirate Essay
Throughout history pirates have terrorized the world s seas. There are few men that have been
feared as much as pirates were. Names such as pirate, buccaneer, and privateer were given to these
men and women that terrorized the seas. Black Sam Bellamy, Bartholomew Roberts, Jean Lafitte,
Stede Bonnet, and Ann Bonny are some of the most feared names know to man. These were the
names of piratesthat dominated the seasduring the 1600 s and 1700 s, a time known as the Golden
Age of Piracy. However, one of the greatest pirates of all time was the great Edward Teach, alias

Both men were so successful that they eventually received knighthood from the crown.
Another famous group of pirates were the Buccaneers. Buccaneers were initially hunter s of cattle
and pigs on the island of what is now known as Haiti and the Dominican Republic (http:/
/www.piratesinfo.com/fact/famous.html). The buccaneer s main source of food was the pigs found
on the islands. They got their name from the French word boucan which meant barbecue. Often at
times, these men were seen barbequing the pig meat on grills. They learned this style of cooking
from the Arawak Indians. The buccaneers were men driven out by the Spanish, runaway slaves,
deserters, and others who just hated the Spanish. The word buccaneer soon became common, and
by the 17th century was used to describe pirates and privateers who had bases in the West Indies

From the late 1600 s to the early 1700 s, the Bahamas was a haven for pirates and government
sanctioned privateers. They preyed on Spanish galleons laden with gold from the New World,
and left behind tales of ruin, revelry, and buried treasure. This was the time knows as the Golden

CDHPs have developed in prevalence since their origin, now selecting around 17 percent of
individuals with superintendent supported protection. All things considered, CDHPs have lessened
human services spending, with investment funds extending from 5 to 14 percent. Investment funds
are driven fundamentally by decreases in spending on pharmaceuticals and outpatient visits, and are
concentrated among healthier enrollees. While a few studies find that CDHP enrollees lessen the
utilization of medicinal services benefits aimlessly, different studies find that the diminishments are
fundamentally among visits for low seriousness conditions. There is no confirmation on the impact
of CDHPs on wellbeing results. CDHPs have a tendency to draw in higher wage, more instructed

principle behind CDHPs is that they increase the premium that patients have in their choices about
utilization of therapeutic care. Patients who devour medicinal care and exhaust their PHA could be

David Remier
I was totally agreed with the textbook s idea of referred gender as psychological, and sex as
biological. I do believe that gender is something relates to the culture and people s perception of
what a certain gender supposed to do. For instance, parents tend to give their baby girls pink rooms,
give baby boys blue rooms; they are also likely to buy dolls for girls, but not for boys. This topic
about sex and genderreminds me of a commercial that I used to watch. It was produced by a
brand named Always . In the ad, participants were asked to do things like how do girls run, fight,
and so on. When asked for run like a girl, adolescent girls respond with almost exactly the same
way. When it turned to younger girls, who have not been socialized... Show more content on

Nevertheless, I think that both David Remier and Dominican Republic syndrome had
overwhelmed on sex, the biological part. I have to say that sex does play a big role on one s
identity, as it was something in our nature, which could influence on our body changes directly.
Both of the cases mentioned in here were boys wrongly raised as girls, then they figured that they
were more masculine than feminine until the transition points appeared. After they knew that they
were boys, most of them would not accept female gender roles any more. For David Remier, I do
not think it was solely the confusing gender role frustrated him and made him suicide, I think it
was the way his parents and Dr. Money handled the situation. Certainly David had some levels of
gender dysphoria, as in the video, his mother said that he was more masculine and being bullied
in school. However, I feel like Dr.Money kept forcing him to do something that he did not want
to do. Speaking of Dr. Money, he reminded me of Dr. Kinsey, since both of them faced some
unethical issues when doing research. As far as the information I got for now, I think Dr. Money
was worse than Dr. Kinsey on unethical issues. He let the little David to act certain ways just for
the purpose that his hypothesis was correct. In the video, everyone can tell how disengaged little
David was when talking to Dr. Money, and Dr. Money seemed not care

Through Pan American World Airways(Pan Am) and TWA partnering, the Constellation was
finally in the airliner business. When the Constellation airlines started they only allowed service
between New York and Paris. But no longer than a month, they started running service between
New York and Los Angeles. Back then even airplane cost a lot. The amount that a Constellation
cost was between $685,000 to $720,000. Now a days that s 7 8 million dollars, and that s just
the cost of one Constellation. TWA and Pan Am got a deal from the Government when they
bought the airplanes. Well there is no clear evidence it can easily be seen why they were so
cheap. The Constellations weren t in great shape. They were a part of World War II, and most of
them probably had bullet holes in them, and were in bad shape.

Also, one of the most problematic aspects of the technology is to initially synchronize the
transmitter and receiver. Although most issues can be worked through, a significant amount of
time must be initially allotted to learning this process.
* Why is it important?
ANS: Using FHSS technology improves privacy, it is a powerful solution to avoid interference and
multi path fading (distortion), it decreases narrowband interference, increases signal capacity,
improve the signal to noise ratio, efficiency of bandwidth is high and difficult to intercept also this
transmission can share a frequency band with many types of conventional transmissions with

ANS: Direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) is a transmission technology used in local area
wireless network transmissions. In this technology, a data signal at the sending station is combined
with a high data rate bit sequence, which divides user data based on a spreading ratio.
* How does it work?
ANS: The entire process is performed by multiplying a radio frequency carrier and a pseudo noise

Indi The Architecture Of Community
1. Introduction
A City is not an accident but the result of coherent vision and aims.
Leon Krier, The Architecture of Community
India is moving towards fast paced economic growth. After India entered Open Market Operations
under the leadership of Prime Minister P.V. Narsimha Rao, economic policies endured lots of
opportunities for foreign direct investment further offering people new windows of employment
and growth of the nation overall. In the reports of McKinsey s India s Urban awakening, it has been
mentioned that many countries are facing problems of aging population whereas India
comparatively has a young and growing population which is a potential demographic advantage .
For this advantage to work wonders, India needs urban centers with better transportation,
infrastructural facilities and housing. In the very same report of McKinsey, it said that the urban
economy will provide 85 percent of total revenue, which will finance development nationwide .
Thus report of McKinsey indirectly states that cities are the engines of growth, hence with better
transportation system and infrastructure the urban development will enhance at a faster pace.
Public transportation takes a special place in city s smooth functioning, since it offers mobility
and access to people in accomplishing their daily tasks. Technological advancement and rise in
incomes have made people to rely more on private mode of transport due to poor services by public
transport agencies in India.

Trenton Leadership Style Analysis
Leadership
Review of Subject
Leadership has a variety of meanings to different individuals, often based upon the circumstance
and situation which defines the term leader or leadership. Northouse (2016) defines leadership as,
a process by which an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal. (p.
6). Sammi Caramella writes, Leadership is critical to every company. Workers need someone to
look to, learn from and thrive with. Every leader has their own style and strategy. Further,
leadership styles and methods vary because of outside influences and personal challenges. While
leadership is unique to everyone, there are some common ways to define the term. (2017).

I was not sure I could handle the position, but I had a Chief Petty Officer who took me under his
wing and began a rigorous on the job training program as the ship was deploying to the
Mediterranean within a matter of weeks. I learned years later the Chief was using a variety of
leadership techniques to help with my progression as a leader. He began with a skills approach
and later moved to more of a situational approach to help me learn my new role.
A skills approach takes a leader centered perspective on leadership with more emphasis on the
skills and abilities that an individual can learn. Using Katz s 1955 model, the three skill approach
suggests that effective leadership depends on three essential personal skills: technical, human, and
conceptual. The technical skill is knowledge and skill in a type of work or activity while the
human skill is the ability and knowledge around working with people. Human skills involve people,
technical involve working with things, and conceptual skills involve working with ideas (Northouse,

Why Is Barry Minkow Unethical
After reading the case, it was truly fascinating how a very young man, Barry Minkow, could pull
off such a huge fraud and how greed and audaciousness can make someone become so unethical.
The fact that a young man had a goal and would do everything and anything to make sure he
reaches his goal led him to commit fraudthrough his fake insurance restoration business. It all
started when he was 15 years old and was driven to be successful, so he began a carpet cleaning
business but soon came to realize that he would make it big if he were in the insurance restoration
business. The way he gained customers for his business was by calling channel 4 in Los Angeles,

This shows that Minkow is an egoist because his only concern was himself and how he could
benefit himself and did everything to make sure he was continuing to make money. He defies the
6 Pillars of Character, which are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and
citizenship. As the case was briefly explained Barry broke each pillar by lying to everyone and
creating the phony company. He was also lying about his revenue and overcharging customers for
services, which is unfair because he is stealing from people who trusted him. He had the
responsibility to do what was right and didn t because he didn t care about anyone but himself and
becoming successful.
Since the auditors failed to do their job properly, they should be held liable for failing to plan and
perform the audit to discover material fraud. The red flags the auditors should have picked up when
conducting the audit included rapid growth, bank transfers and other accounts, the avoidance of
confirming the insurance restoration jobs, consistency of all the invoices, extravagant life style,
cash flow problems, and problems meeting loan payments. Also the auditors never looked at
construction contracts, issues, and whether ZZZZ Best had the necessary permits to do the work.
This shows the auditors failed to exercise professional skepticism.

Tommy was unaware that the theater would be showing commercials. Although he was unhappy
with the commercials, he stayed until he was discontent with the movie that he had paid for.
Ultimately, Tommy was denied a refund, as it is a policy of the Royal theatre; therefore, Tommy
has expressed his intent to initiate a class action lawsuit believing that his rights were violated.
Analysis Liability for Fraud: What Tommy Must Prove to Win Assuming that a contract existed at
the time of the event, between Tommy and the Theater, Tommy may use the following argument
to prove his fraudulent claim. Tommy may argue that (1) a representation was made and that was
that one of the terms of the contract provides that the movie will begin at 1 PM. Thus, he was
induced by a fraudulent claim because the movie started 20 minutes after commercials ended.
Tommy may also suggest (2) the representation was known to be false because the ticket stub
indicated the movie would start at 1 p.m. Therefore, (2) the plaintiff was expected to rely on the
fact that the movie was starting at 1 p.m.; moreover, (3) it was known to be false because the
newspaper ad stated the time, (4) and it was made with the intention that the plaintiff rely on it

Compare And Contrast Nero And Tiberius
Nero and Tiberius both started off as great leaders of Rome. Throughout their leadership many
events occurred that caused the general publics view to change on both of them. Comparing Nero,
the careless leader to Tiberius, the leader with great accomplishments I found that they are complete
opposites. Analyzing the accomplishments, treatment of people, and the overall personality of Nero
and Tiberiusit can be concluded that Tiberius is a better leader than Nero.
Nero and Tiberius were two leaders who were liked by the public. Both starting their reigns young,
Nero and Tiberius accomplished many things. Gaining the public s eye, Nero gave Claudius a lavish
funeral and personally delivered the oration in person. He founded a colony at Antium consisting of
praetorian veterans, he gave the public an immense variety of entertainments, and even introduced
his own style of architecture. These accomplishments all played a role in how the public adored
him. Giving the public positive ideas will gain their trust, but unfortunately, he does not keep their
trust. As Nero became older, his accomplishments became less and less, he began turning into
someone who was in it for the money. His turning point was when he bankrupted Rome, once this
happened Nero was neither trusted or liked.
First beginning his reign, Tiberius gradually showed his people that he was in charge. He would
only intervene when things were not done properly. Tiberius began to decrease the expenses of

Examples Of Non Violent Crimes
By definition non violent crimes are crimes that do not implicate physical harm or use of force
upon another person. The most common of nonviolent crimes are drug trafficking, possession of

fraud.
At first I was all for early prison release of nonviolent offenders, why should tax payers have to

Thesis Statement Of Family Law
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
The Hindu Minority and Guardianship Act, 1956 primarily deals with the issue of guardianship to
a minor child. The expression minor includes a person who has not completed the age of eighteen
years. The Act is applicable only to the persons who are Hindu by religion. Section 6 of the act
provides that the father shall be the guardian of minor child and after him mother shall be the
guardian. Even under Muslim Law, father has preferred right over child. The proviso thus,
discriminates between the father and mother.

Family law deals with what are highly emotional issues objectively and legally. Despite the
strength of emotion involved in many family law cases, justice must still be served to each party.
Family laws guide you in all sense and they make life much simpler. The importance of family law
is great as it helps in maintaining the sanctity of relationship and keeps the bondage tight and

Guardianship is a concept or relationship arising from the natural incapacities of infants and
persons of unsound mind and sometimes other category of persons to manage their own affairs .
A guardian is a person who has the authority and the corresponding duty to care for the personal
and property interests of another person, called a ward. Usually, a person has the status of
guardian because the ward is incapable of caring for his or her own interests due to infancy,
incapacity, or disability. Most countries and states have laws that provide that the parents of a

Lay Bare The Heart Analysis
Lay Bare the Heart by James Farmer tells the story of a terrifying, yet exciting Civil Rights
movement. It begins in 1961 and jumps right into action when James Farmer, the CORE
(Congress of Racial Equality) principal founder and last survivor of the Big Four , boards the
Greyhound (Alabama bound) bus with the Freedom Riders. With a little bit of convincing from
Doris Castle, a 16 year old CORE member, he decided that it was right for him to proceed. He
was well advised that there would be trouble ahead; nevertheless, Mr. Farmer wasn t terror stricken.
When they arrived in Jackson, Mississippi, the trouble began. Over two dozen policemen were
surrounding the Freedom Riders and they were arrested.
The Freedom rides were put together by Mr. Farmer and consisted of a mixed race of people.
They all followed the rule: Jail no bail. This ride was non violent and resulted in turmoil near the
south. This smart idea made James Farmer a powerful leader in the Civil Rights movement. No one
had the same amount of courage and fight inside as he did. While in jail, the Freedom Riders
were mistreated by policemen; they were cursed at and humiliated. To get through the constant
interrogations, they sang songs like: We Shall Overcome , Ain t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me
Around , and Back of The Bus. More Freedom Riders were sent to jail and each member ended up
having a year sentence. James Farmer urged members to remain in jail for at least 40 days before
bail. I, personally, don t

Agora Analysis
The film Agora, directed by Alejandro AmenГЎbar, is set in Alexandria Egypt around the year 400.
This time period is very soon after the legalization of the Christian religion in the Roman Empire,
and this fact is explicitly stated near the beginning of the movie. The plot follows the real world
mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher Hypatia, although in the movie her age does not
match up with what it would have truly been at the time of the events which are depicted, including
her murder. She is shown as being consistently young throughout the movie although her murder
actually took place when she was in her fifties or her sixties. Two other key figures are Orestes and
St. Cyril the Christian Patriarch of Alexandria. The movie features the political struggle between
Orestes and St. Cyril as its central conflict along with the secondary conflicts of paganism and
Judaism versus Christianity. The main idea that the director seems to have intended for his audience
is that religionis opposed to civilized behavior and to intellectual and scientific progress. This is
made evident by his distortion of historical facts to fit his bias which will be discussed later. The
film was recorded on the island of Malta and was released in 2009. At that time and continuing into
the present day, entertainment media contained a noticeable anti religious sentiment. That
sentiment is clearly expressed in this movie as religious people are consistently portrayed as stupid,
unthinking, and

Functional Symbols Of George Janine At Sunrise Senior Living
A diverse family can be defined in many ways. However, after observing some of the individuals
at Sunrise Senior LIving, this can be defined as all the members of a household under one roof.
While residents had their own rooms, and shared if married, everyone was technically under the
same roof. The seniors came together for meal times, spent quality times in the common areas to
socialize, and enjoyed the extracurricular activities that were planned on a weekly basis, along with
meeting many volunteers to light up their day. George Herbert Mead was trusted with expressing
the foundations of the symbolic interaction (SI) theory. It is used to understand how families create
meaning. The premise of this came from his curiosity to understand the way humans create, react
to, and redefine the shared, symbolic meanings in their social environment. As the text mentions,
Mead agreed that words and nonverbal behaviors are the primary symbols to which humans assign
meaning. In addition to this idea, he also explained on the idea that symbolic meanings are heavily
influenced by perceptions, including people s own perceptions and other people s perceptions of
them and the social structure around them. This was particularly for Ms. Janine at Sunrise Senior
Living. She was a social butterfly who seemed to know everything that was going on around the
home and most things about the health conditions some residents were living with. Anytime she sat

Superego In Lord Of The Flies Essay
Frued s theory of the human psyche is that it is made up of three parts: the id, ego, and superego.
These three parts are represented in the realistic novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding. Set
on a tropical island during World War II, the novel begins when schools boys from Great Britain
are being flown to safety and their plane is shot down. No adults survive, and the boys are left to
govern themselves and get rescued. In the novel Jack represents the id, Piggy and Simon the

In Lord of the Flies Jack represents the id. The id is the primitive and instinctive part of the

Analysis Of Chopin s Chopin
This news comes from her husband s friend, who says that Brently Mallard has died in a railroad
accident. Mrs. Mallard s sister, Josephine, mindful of Mrs. Mallard s heart condition, breaks the
news to her in broken sentences and veiled hints (193). But when Mrs. Mallard hears the shocking
news, she undergoes a profound transformation that empowers her with a clear and exalted
perception (194). As Chopin demonstrates, this heightened consciousness comes to the protagonist
because of her awakened emotions. Revealing her own dynamic and avant garde understanding,
Chopin rejects the tradition of attributing supremacy to the faculty of reason in the act of
perception, and she attributes it instead to the faculty of emotions.
When she hears the news of her husband s death, Mrs. Mallard s obliviousness to the beauty of life
breaks down under the powerful impact of emotion. Until this moment, Mrs. Mallard hardly thinks
it worthwhile to continue her existence; as the narrator of the story says, It was only yesterday
[Mrs. Mallard] had thought with a shudder that life might be long (194). Her life until this point
seems devoid of emotion, as the lines in her face besp[ea]k repression (193). Upon hearing the
news, her sorrow gushes out in a torrent: She wept at once with sudden, wild abandonment (193).
The narrator points out, however, that Mrs. Mallard is not struck, as many women have been, by a
paralyzed inability to accept the painful sense of loss (193). On

Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Essay examples
Acute lymphocytic leukemia is also called acute lymphoblastic leukemia or ALL. This disease is
primarily when the white blood cell, WBC, making tissue releases too many undeveloped
lymphocytes. The immature lymphocytes then collect in lymph tissues. The tissues swell which
makes it harder for the bone marrow to produce other bloodcells. If the bone marrowcannot function
properly the red blood cell, RBC, count decreases causing anemia. The bone marrow also cannot
create the platelets needed to cause clots, therefore resulting in the body bleeding and bruising more
easily. The lymphocytes can also invade other organs, impairing their ability to function properly.

The leukemic cells start in either B or T lymphocytes. Approximately 80% of cases start with
immature B cells. One to two percent are mature B cells. Fifteen to twenty percent of all cases
are derived from T cells. These cases are associated with cases that occur in older males and a
need for a higher dosage of chemotherapy. In addition, the chromosomes play an important part in
the diagnosis of the subtype of ALL. The TEL AML1 fusion gene can indicate an early B cell type
of leukemia. This gene also indicates a favorable prognosis. The bcr abl t translocation gene is
seen in three to five percent of all cases. Those diagnosed with ALL that have this gene will have
a higher WBC count and a poorer prognosis. A rearrangement of the MLL gene accounts for 80%
of infant ALL cases. The prognosis for this is poor despite the use of high intensity

This is mainly due to the fact that several programs compete for the agricultural income in
developing countries agricultural dependent economies. In addition, while the agricultural research
is largely financed by private funds in developed countries, the share of the private sector is too low
in developing countries. The system relies either on government funding and/or external assistance,
especially in Sub Saharan Africa. According to Pardey et al. (2006), donor contributions (including
World Bank loans) in Sub Saharan Africa accounted for an average of 35% of funding to principal
agricultural research agencies in 2000. Even though this share shows a decreasing trend, the share
of external funds in agricultural research varies from country to country, as several countries, such
as Eritrea, are highly dependent on external aid for agricultural research (figure 1), while others,
such as Sudan, use their own internal income to this end. Donor agricultural research financing in
developing countries is channelled either through the Consultative Group on International
Agricultural Research (CGIAR), a consortium of 15 agricultural research centers , regional research
networks, or directly to national agricultural research systems. Sources of external financing

Nature And Nature In Jack London s To Build A Fire
In the story To Build a Fire written by Jack London, a man and a dog travel together through the
Yukon in freezing temperatures to get to a cabin where the man s friends are. The significant events
in the story such as the man falling into a creek, the man s fire going out and the dog leaving the
mans body reveals the authors own understanding of how nature and humanity interact. The use of
third person pronoun, symbolism and metaphors work together in order to help readers understand
the themes that nature is indifferent to humans and that you shouldn t ignore the advice of others.
In the short story How To Build A Fire, the manfalls into a creek causing him to get wet up to his
knees, this is disastrous for him since he is traveling with a dog through an isolated trail in the
Yukonmeaning no one is there to help. This event is adds tension to the story because if he can t

Nightmare Research Papers
Up to 90% of people dream when they fall asleep not only do they dream but also have
nightmares. Not all nightmares will wake a person up or even be remembered but if they are
remembered it usually strikes fear and worry in the dreamers mind. Nightmares and the level of
fear that they possess all depends on the person who is having them because not everyone s fears
are the same thing or are to the same extent. Nevertheless sleep is split into four different stages,
stage one being sleep onset, stage 2 light sleep, stage 3 and 4 deep sleep which can also be known
as the REM (non rapid eye movement) stage which is connected to dreaming. There are different
aspects within a nightmare such as how nightmares come to be and who they effect.

Nightmares and the brain states that nightmares are most common of those between the ages of
three and six probably due to children being very impressionable at these ages. While touching on
the statement of children being impressionable an assistant Clinic professor at Cambridge Health

Nightmares may reflect this vulnerability with this being a very possible idea it would help explain
the reason children are more prone to nightmares than adults (Nightmares and the

Janice Mirikitani Suicide Note is the speaker of this short poem with 63 lines in it. The poem is
a dramatic monologue. It tells a small story about how an Asian American girl who is in college,
committed suicide because she was not able to meet the expectations for herself and her family.
She talked about how each failure effects are greatly, how standing on the ledge reminded her
about how a sparrow is about to take flight, and she reminds me of a few people in school that
have gone through similar instances like the girl but, did not go through with it fully. Suicide
Note is a poem written in 1987. The poem is about a young Asian American college student who
jumped out of her dorm window and killed herself. It was on a snowy day so they did not find the

The poem is an apology to her parents.
In the first two stanzas, she is talking directly to her parents. The speaker is apologizing to her
parents for the work that she placed out and saying she is sorry for not doing better than what
she had just done. I apologize/ for disappointing you. is her saying she is sorry. She also said
three lines over and over again, which were not good enough , not pretty enough , and not smart
enough . Those three things made her not feel she was good enough and it psyched her bad
enough to not continue with life. At the end of the second stanza, she says in my father s dream
which automatically shows that she is doing it for her family. She was given an opportunity to
bring more honor to her family by going to college and graduating it, but sadly she was not able
to get that far. She thinks that she brought dishonor to her family by not being able to keep her
perfect four point grade average. It is not easy at all to keep it there so she must have done a great
job to get that far, but not even that was able to please her parents and making

The Conflict Of Interest And Four Barriers To SME Cooperation
SMEs cooperation is one of the most popular strategies SMEs deploy to spread business risks,
gain access to technology, distribution channels and deferred taxes. Through access to other firm
proprietary resources, the concerned SMEs are likely to create synergistic effect imperative to gain
competitive advantages that would facilitate improved market and financial performance.
Highlighting the benefits of cooperation, several studies indicated SMEs partners can gain access
to new technology, gain tacit knowledge, create economies of scale, save costs and achieve
flexibility and quality improvement. They however opined that conflict of interest and low trust are
usually inhibiting factors to SMEs cooperation. From the above, the objective of this paper is to

Few of these factors are e discussed here. Lack of Interest in Cooperation: This is a barrier to SMEs
cooperation as SMEs orientations tend toward individualism rather than collectivisms will show no
interests in cooperating with other to gain competitive advantages. Low Trust: Ability, benevolence,
and integrity are attributes of the trustworthiness of a trustee. Ability refers to the skills,
competencies, and characteristics of trustee; benevolence is the extent to which a trustee is
believed to do good to the trustor; and integrity is the consistency of the trustee s past actions and
credible communication. These indicators of trust are likely to increase SMEs confidence in
cooperation. However, perceived lack ability, benevolence, and integrity demotivate SMEs
involvement in cooperation. These is especially when the cooperation firms do not believe each

Amputation Mishap
Amputation Mishap The Neighborhood News reports of a medical error at The Neighborhood
Hospital. The report states a 62 year old male patient underwent surgery to have his leg amputated
only to discover the wrong leg was amputated during surgery. The newspaper article states the
mishap is negligence. In the following paragraphs, negligence, gross negligence, and malpractice
are discussed and determine if the newspaper s statement of negligence is correct. Ethical principles
in nursing and nursing documentation regarding such issues are also discussed. Negligence and
malpractice fall under the tort laws definition. According to Guido (2010), Torts are civil wrongs,

damages regarding pain and suffering, permanent disability, disfigurement, emotional damages as
well as financial loss and medical expenses. In this scenario, all six elements to prove malpractice
are present. The negligence is by licensed personnel in a hospital setting. Using the definitions and
criteria above, the newspaper incorrectly defines the mishap as negligence. The correct term to use
in this case is professional negligence or malpractice. Nursing documentation should be reflective of
the patient s hospital stay. This includes identifying and addressing patient needs, assessments,
problems, limitations, and responses to nursing interventions. According to Guido (2010),
Documentation must show continuity of care, interventions that were implemented, and patient
responses to the therapies implemented. Nurses notes are to be concise, clear, timely, and
complete (p. 197). Guido (2010) lists the following guidelines for nurses to use to ensure
documentation is complete and accurate (p. 197 209): 1.Make an entry for every observation. If
documentation is absent, it can be assumed an observation did not take place. 2.Follow up as
needed. Evaluation and observations require follow up to ensure appropriate patient responses and
optimal outcomes. 3.Read nurses notes prior to giving

Employee Reimbursement Analysis
Having worked in healthcare for over a decade in various entities, member appreciation remains a
consistent area for improvement. To maintain standards in the current demands of healthcare,
organizations are required to focus on patient satisfaction in effort of obtaining reimbursement,
future business acquisitions and returned business. However, important to note with the increased
focus of patient satisfaction components, it is integral to also appreciate the great deal of man
power and maintenance by health care staffers. Focus on staff incentive for maintaining and
exceeding organizational requirements remains an area for improvement. Within the subsequent

increase in operational earnings from the previous calendar year. Surely, with surplus revenue due
in part to increased staff effort, budgets can be allocated based on an agreed upon criteria to
strengthen staff morale and continued shared vision throughout the organization. Evidenced based
research suggests that staff recognition maintains staff retention and attracts talent recruitment

The U A Region Of South Central Flores ( Indonesia )
a) Ua is a region of Nage in south central Flores (Indonesia) located near the purported cave of the
now extinct ebu gogo wildmen.
b) Julius Poi, an Ua man born in 1922, provided the author with one of the clearest and most
complete accounts of the ebu gogo that proved to be extremely representative of the communities
understanding of this group (rather than radically unique). Poi explained that the ebu gogo were
human like in form, covered in hair, and possessed faces reminiscent of monkey species.
Additionally, they were shorter than humans and possessed a great deal of strength and speed. The
females were believed to have extremely protracted breasts with which they fed their young from
behind. According to Poi, the ebu gogo ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

out of the cave and died soon after. (It is important to keep in mind that other sources provide slight
variations on this extermination story see pages 21 22).
e) What the ebu gogo looked like (brief description): Based on a majority consensus of
informants, the ebu gogo could be identified as either a primitive human form or a large non
human primate. Additionally, most individuals described the ebu gogo as shorter than the average
Ua villager, vigorous in stature, and mostly vegetarian in diet (each of these distinctions was
disputed by at least one other informant). Their limbs were held to be of average size (i.e. human
proportions) and two informants detailed their small foot size. Everyone interviewed by the author
agreed that the ebu gogo stood upright and walked on two feet. In terms of their facial features,
many Nage people described them either as monkeys or extremely ugly humans. They were
described as having flat/wide noses and large human like eyes and ears (although these points are
also disputed). Along with having a large mouth (for swallowing), the teeth of the ebu gogo were
usually described as larger than average. Their most

The Crime Of White Collar Crime
Crime is such a general word, and describes a whole conundrum of activities that are seen as
unlawful. The oxford dictionary defines crime as an action of omission which constitutes an
offence and is punishable by law . There are many different types of crimes, and they are classified
based on the seriousness of the crime. Minor crimes/offences, for example a traffic offence, are
called misdemeanors. More serious crimes, like murder, are called felonies and are punishable by
more than a year in prison. When people hear the word crime, they most often associate it with a
dangerous, violent act. There are crimes that are not violent in nature, but are still considered
criminal acts because of their nature and their purpose. White collar crime is one of those types of
crimes that are non violent but have a great impact on its victims.
What is White Collar Crime?
White collar crime is generally identified as non violent crimes that public officials and business
people commit predominantly for their own personal gain . Edwin Sutherland came up with the
term white collar crime to explain the crimes that both middle class and upper class people
committed in the course of their business activities. White collar crime is so often neglected as
crime, that many people don t even consider it as a crime until they are the victims. People don t
understand that the effects of white collar crime are much higher than other crimes. If we look at it
from a monetary perspective, the costs

Similarities Between Peace And Peace
Is it possible to be in a society with violence and peace or just peace? In a society full of
negativity and hate toward others what is a way to overcome these issues and live in harmony.
Barack Obama and Martin Luther King Jr have different opinions and we can see this through
the road to peace, uncivil and dehumanizing however, they have the same completion goal.
Martin Luther King and Obama both want peace. One of the things Martin Luther King uses is
the foundation of love Martin Luther King Jr chooses love. He believes that by not getting
aggressive and wanting revenge and only peace through love they will win. Another example,
used is the churches burned and kids killed king shows dehumanizing by him say kids have been
burned, killed however, thinks people should not slump to the same level and by peaceful
protesting they can end this racism, however, Obama has a different view he uses evidence from
past event like; Evil does exist in the world. A non violent movement could not have halted
Hitler s armies. He showed that it was necessary to use violence, for we could not have stopped
Hitler by protest. The world has problems that have to make the decision on how to approach and
sometimes the issues need to be approached in a non friendly way. Also he justifies violence by
using another past event such as,Negotiations cannot convince al Qaeda s leaders to lay down
their arms. . Obama know that al Qaeda s would not sit down and talk or let protest stop him

Reflection Of The Movie The Tempest
If there is a fact film directors apparently have not yet realized, it is that the extraordinary,
magnificent Shakespeare plays simply cannot ever be transformed into films. With every
Shakespeare film released we witnessed this in the predictable, gullible and ludicrous acting of
Leonardo DiCaprio in the vulgar 1997 Romeo and Juliet, and in the poor filmography of Roman
Polansky s Macbeth. Therefore, when I was preparing myself to watch the modern version of The
Tempest, filmed in 2010, I was expecting an abysmal quality of acting. My own thoughts about the
movie astonished me, especially as opposed to my fear of seeing a young Dicaprio on my screen in
a lead role, once again. The incredible Hellen Mirren as a female version of Prospero, a somewhat
provocative choice of Djimon... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The prominent theme of forgiveness the play s crux which is illuminated through the emotional
process of decision is emphasized through other filmographic elements, such as the Musical Score
and the visual effects enabling portrayal of Ariel. After watching the film, I myself was astonished
by what it exposed about humans; why is it so difficult for us to forgive? To release the past and
stop trying to take revenge? And whether I am going to stop asking question about the human
condition in this movie review? As a matter of fact, in spite of my strong distaste for earlier
Shakespeare films, the same forgiveness is evident in The Merchant of Venice and other plays.
Another theme is fate. Taymor was able to successfully apply and emphasize it in the film. For
instance, the concern that Ferdinand is dead and Miranda s fear of the fate of the visitors, are both
emphasized through the usage of facial expressions and lighting in accordance with tone. Overall,
both themes are conveyed effectively; Evidence A, the reconciliation with a friend days after
watching the

there is my husband Charles. Quite handsome he was, a funny man too. I am sure if he was here
now he would have quite a few jokes for you, and quite a few embarrassing stories about me, she

That is wonderful, but I meant for living life. What is your plan? Careers aside, what do you

The Stoning Of Soraya M Essay
The title of the film The Stoning of Soraya M. is a prelude to the story. The title is completely
relevant to the practice of a country where stoning is seen as simply carrying out the law. The
movie is set in Iran, the year is 1986, the landscape is cold and gloomy. There are no manicured
lawns or cookie cutter houses, lining the streets with painted pavements. No, here we see bare dirt
and rocks. It seems barren and dry with a few trees. A womancovered with a Burqa is walking
among the desolate streets. The sound of a sputtering car pervades the cold stillness of the air,
and we see the car stall at the bottom of a hill. The woman with the Burqa is walking quickly
down a rocky path. She seems to be rushing, as we hear a sound that, much like the sputtering car
breaks the silence of the landscape. A black dog laps up a liquid from a torn cloth that was laying
amongst the stones. The woman Shohreh Aghdashloo, playing the role of Zahra yells as she
chases away the dog from the black soaked cloth that laid on the ground next to the serenity of a
bubbling stream.
The woman cries as she picked up the remnants of the black cloth and we see bones. She takes
them lovingly in her hands as she washes them in the stream then, begins to dig what looks like a
grave with her bare hands. Her face is distraught, her hair is strewn all around her face and we
realize that the bones wrapped in the cloth was from a person. Zarah buried them in an unmarked
grave near the only beautiful

How Does Rip Van Winkle Affect Society
Washington Irving wrote Rip Van Winkle in 1819 around the time of the American Revolution.
British ruled the colonies and they were so determined to break free. The period prior to the
revolution and after was evident with change. The society altered in extreme shared, political and
analytical aspects. Freedom to do as they wanted was their main objective. One could easily
compare this time period to the story of Rip Van Winkle. This is a story about change and
transformation. The story revolves around a family man known as Rip and his demanding wife
Dame. Rip had no desire to do any constructive work because he was a pretty happy mortal that
didn t take very much serious, and would rather starve than work for a penny. (Irving 32) Instead,
he preferred to have fun with the children and socialize with the neighbors helping them with their

Rip couldn t sustain the wait and tempted to taste the beverage and kept going back for more. He

Detroit Auto Show Persuasive Speech
In the 2016 North American Detroit Auto Show, Akio Toyoda, the president and CEO of Toyota

the car industry. The purpose of Toyoda s speech was not only to introduce a new car model to the
car industry, but also to convince the audience that LC500 is a superior performance coupe
compared to its competitors.
The audience at the Detroit Auto Show was a large crowd that was consisted of over a hundred
people. The audience was mostly consisted of car reviewers, media/ news anchors, photographers,
and car enthusiasts. Besides the shuttering sound of the professional cameras, the audience was in
awed and amazed throughout the 13 minutes speech given by Toyoda. The audience occasionally

The Legalization Of Drug Legalization
Drug decriminalization is opposed by the majority of Americans. Leaders in drug prevention,
education, treatment, and law enforcement are against it, as are many political leaders. However,
pro drug advocacy groups, who support the use of drugs, are making headlines. They are
influencing legislation and having a significant impact on the national policy debate in the United
States. Although, pro advocacy groups claim decriminalizationof drugs will lower incarceration
rates and boost the economy, drugs must stay illegal in America, if not, more people will use,
causing negative effects on health, families and communities. Proponents on the legalization of
drugs believe if drugs were to become legal; the black market worth billions of dollars would
become extinct, druggangsters would disappear, addicts would stop committing crimes to support
their habit and the prison system would not be overwhelmed with a problem they cannot defeat.
The decriminalization of drugs will only make illegal drugs cheaper, easier to get and more
acceptable to use. The U.S. has 20 million alcoholics and alcohol misusers, but only around 6
million illegal drug addicts. If illegal drugs were easier to obtain, this figure would rise (Should
Drugs be decriminalized? No.November 09, 2007 Califano Joseph A, Jr). A large number of
prisoners and people in rehab homes have stated that they were brought up in homes where illegal
drugs were being used by their parents. These

Space Probes Research Paper
The Investigation of the Large Outer Planets by the Space Probes, Voyager 1 and 2 and Casini
The space probes voyager 1 and 2 were set off in 1977 on August the 20th and september the 5th
from the NASA Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida. This was because the suitable
conditions for their mission wold not reoccur for approximately another 175 years. These
conditions were that the planets were aligned in a certain way that would allow the probes to use
specific planets to propel the probes further out into space.
Due to the distance these probes traveled from the sun, solar energy was unable to be used as a
power source. Instead the probes relied on the gravitational forces of the planets to propel them.
This was able to happen because of a rare geometric arrangement of the planets in the late 1970s.
The flybys that the spacecraft did of the outer planets would utilise the gravitational forces of the
planets to sufficiently bend the course and increase the velocity of the probes so that they could
reach their next destination. The probes were at first only designed to flyby Jupiter and Saturn, even
though a four planet mission was known to be possible. This was at first rejected because it was
believed it would be too expensive. More than 10,000 trajectories had to be studied before two
were chosen that would allow close flybys of Jupiter and its moon Io, and Saturn and its moon Titan.

  • 2. The Republican Party Or Grand Old Party The Origin, The Change, The Present The Republican party or Grand Old Party (GOP), for over 150 years, has maintained itself as a major political party within the United States of America. As a whole, the republican party follows the belief of military build up ,less taxes, and more importantly, a limited government. However, throughout recent years there has been an influx of conservative values being spread throughout the GOP. These values include harsh stances against: homosexuality, immigration, and abortion. This recent conservative trend has caused many to see the party as out of date. Ironically, it has not always been like this, as the party was once what would be defined as liberal . These liberal views included support of conservatism and universal health care(http://www.marketwatch.com /story/four things republicans used to believe 2011 07 18). So, what happened? In short, the conservative influx in the 1950s would lead to this drastic change of views, which would lead us to today s far right republican party. In order to The Origins Of the Republican Party The GOP would begin in the early 1850 s as an Antislavery party in do part to the Kansas Nebraska Act of 1854 . Within this act entailed whether or not slavery could be permitted on nebraska land by settlers and entrepreneurs who wanted to relocate there . This in turn allowed each territory to decide the issue of slavery on the basis of popular sovereignty .Strong opposition for this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Corrupted In The Chocolate War The Chocolate War is a novel full of corrupt school spirit while they are fundraising to sell chocolates. There is little difference between teachers and students at Trinity High School because both teachers and students use psychological warfare, fear and manipulation. They both give assignments and punishments and they do not want their corrupt system to be disturbed. There is little difference between teachers and students because both teachers and students use psychological warfare, fear and manipulation. In the novel, this is demonstrated by students, when Archie shows manipulation. Emile, stick with me. All the way. And you can t go wrong. We need men like you. This establishes the manipulative nature and psychological warfare because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is indicated when Archie gives Jerry an assignment, the assignment is a Vigil s assignment. Jerry s refusal is because of The Vigils he is to refuse the chocolates for ten days, and then accept them. Jerry is loyal to this assignment for the first ten days but after that Jerry still refuses to sell the chocolates. This causes Archie to punish Jerry, and it depicts how the students also give punishments. Archie gives another assignment to Goober, which is to partially unscrew every screw in the chairs and tables of Brother Eugene s room number nineteen. However, The Goober follows the assignment therefore showing no punishment. Similarly, the teachers demonstrate punishments when someone does something wrong. Brother Leon accuses Bailey for cheating because he gets straight A s. He threatens Bailey to a punishment. After Brother Leon has a talk with Bailey, he accuses the class for not sticking up for their classmate. Brother Leon gives everyone an assignment to sell fifty boxes of chocolates each. Thus, this manifests how teachers give out assignments. This system of assignments and punishments is so ingrained in the school that they do not want to disturb the ... • 4. Fast And Furious Argumentative Themes Justin Lin s film entitled Fast and Furious portrays when a crime brings them back to the main streets of Los Angeles, fugitive ex convict Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and agent Brian O Conner (Paul Walker) reignite their high octane feud. However, when a common enemy rears his head, Dom and Brian must learn how to work together and trust one another in order to defeat him. Pop culture is everything. Movies, of course, are the ultimate in pop culture is a combination of almost every known art form turned into a powerful fury of sound and image that impact everything from t shirt sales to politics to how we see ourselves as men, women and Americans. Some movies damage our culture. Some have no discernible impact. Some have a positive impact.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the libertine racing world Dom and Brian inhabit, they are constantly surrounded by impossibly hot and willing women. They not only faithfully go home to Letty and Mia every night, they re not even tempted with any hot women outside there. A well crafted film can explore moral themes through characters that commit immoral acts. Other than my faith, individual freedom is a value I hold higher than any other, and this is the theme that drives the first five films more than any other. Like many of the cinema s greatest anti heroes, Dom, Letty, and Mia live outside the law. The films, however, are not justifying or even making glamorous their criminality. The proof of this is that while we admire their free spirits and refusal to conform, we also root for them to reform their criminal ways. Dom represents the best of America, and a dying breed in Hollywood: the rugged, stoic, masculine American individualist with his own honour code. Dominic Toretto is Gary Cooper, John Wayne. He may live in East L.A., but he s really a cowboy roaming the West living by his own rules. In a pop culture world where a disturbing faith in government, narcissism, and ironic distance are treated as values, this healthy old fashioned message that you got to be your own man in this world is something worth ... Effective Counseling iove couse Personal and Professional Qualities for an Effective Counselor By {Author} {Institution} Abstract This research paper discusses the qualities that are necessary for an effective counseling and as such any counselor considered effective must posses them. The paper has a separate discussion of both personal and professional qualities required for any good counselor. The personal qualities form a larger part of the discussion because the professional qualities depend wholly on the individual characteristics since professional qualities alone can t qualify a counselor but effective personal qualities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This respect will enable a counselor explore chances for change and provide accepted and genuine attention and caring. More importantly, effective counselors should respect themselves first before expecting the same to be extended by others. This can be done through building strong realistic and self worth virtues as well as receiving and giving support to others. They shouldn t isolate themselves or have any sense of self destructiveness. Furthermore, effective counselor must first know who they are and what they are capable of doing concerning guidance and counseling before they get to know their clients. They should have clear goals of what they want o achieve in their line of career by a clear sense of values and priorities that are very important in attending individuals who actually need counseling such as drug addicts and family violence victims. Effective counselors must recognize the limits of their power especially influential and convincing powers because they may compromise the effectiveness of a counseling program thus they should be able to tame their power (Whiston, 2009). However, effective counselors do not use their power for their own gain but to help and support the clients in the best reform procedures. On the other hand, Gladding (2008) confirm that effective counselors must always be in touch with themselves especially when dealing with clients who present the same experiences as those of the counselor. • 6. The Creation Of Sputnik On October 4, 1957 the Soviet Union launched a satellite called Sputnik 1 into space. This marked the start of the space race. Americans were terrified of the chance of the Soviet s sending missiles from space. However Dwight. D. Eisenhower was not scared and did not do much. About a month later on November 3, 1957 the Soviets launched a new spacecraft called Sputnik 2. Sputnik 2 sent the first animal into space, it was named Laika. Lakia did not survive, but the Russians were in the lead. America decided to do something so they attempted to send Vanguard, ( satellite, nobody was in it) on December 6th 1957 into earth s orbit. • 7. A Rhetorical Analysis Of Abortion By Rabbi David Novak To begin it is important to understand halakha which is the jewish law that governs the status of an unborn fetus and whether or not abortion can occur. First off I will be discussing Rabbi David Novak from University of Toronto s, short paper titled Abortion , in this article Rabbi David Novak takes a neutral stance and states that there are two sides to the argument of abortionin Judaism. Rabbi David Novak starts by stating that the most common belief in modern Judaism is as follows , On one side are those who see the fetusas a human within a human (Sanhedrin 57b, re Genesis 9:6). On the other side are those who regard the child as a human person only after it emerges from the womb (Rashi on Sanhedrin 72b, re Ohalot 7.6); before that, it is simply a part of the mother s body. (Novak).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Traditionally, Jewish belief is considered to be a pro life stance, which is not to argue that a Jew must actively support the pro life movement just that it is the basis of their core belief system. The problem with Judaism identifying with pro choice though is that the pro choice movement is for the most part based on Human ownership of the human body, an idea that directly contradicts the Jewish dogma that everything belongs to God men s bodies, women s bodies, anyone s body (Ezekiel 18:4). (Novak). Another issue with abortion in Judaism is that it gives significant legal and moral room to the mother and those around her, allowing justification for abortion on a case by case basis as well as the fact that rabbis have never regulated abortion within the Jewish population. In the Talmud it is said that that only physically present infants are considered to be legal persons but there are only specific cases where abortion or killing of the child is considered to be ... • 8. Video Analysis On Run The third video, Run, includes more symbolism. However, it is mostly focused on the relationships that the characters had with each other and their interactions together. Basically, the group can be paired off into Rap Monster and V, Suga and Jungkook, and J Hope and Jimin. Jin does not have a partner in this. He is further differentiated from the group in this way, and in the video he still has his recording motif, as well as looking into the camera. The video starts with V falling backwards into dark water. The water acts as a mirror in this case, showing him fall from one side of the mirror into the other. There are shots of him struggling underwater throughout the video as well. After that, Rap Monster is featured visiting the train tracks where the group was seen together. In this video, his would be considered the presenttime. When he opens the door to one of the train cars, he starts a flashback to times when the group was having fun. While the entire video is meant to be before the members die, these are further flashbacks to when even V has not died, and they are all having fun together. Some of these moments of fun directly mirror the activities that the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One explanation of the basic plotline is that first, V kills a man. He is at a loss as to how to handle this, and ends up killing himself. After that, unable to cope with his not being there, the rest of the members also commit suicide in various ways, except for Jin. Although the specific order is not abundantly clear, one can infer that at least Suga dies before Jungkook. A good example can be drawn from the denial of service attack launched by a malicious insider as demonstrated by a well known Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud infrastructure (Sense Post: , 2009). The insider access risk can be mitigated by deploying technical and administrative procedures that will monitor the activities of the users with access to the cloud infrastructure. An example of such procedures include access reviews for users with especially high risk access rights (such as execute access rights to data objects). • 11. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest By Donald Trump Donald Trump s run for presidency brings faithful supporters, angry critics, and a plethora of headlines. Supportive followers ignore the plentiful reasons that deem Trump unfit for presidency. For example, on several occasions comments and statements made by Trump paint him as sexist and racist. In addition, Trump shares similarities with Adolf Hitler, an unsettling realization. However, those who support Donald Trumpargue that his economic experience as well as his honesty outweigh the long list of his faults. America, a country considered a melting pot, requires a president capable of accepting those of different races and religions. Donald Trump s openly racist remarks disqualify him from holding presidency. In a speech, Trump made the assertion that all Muslim people should be barred from entering the U.S. (Pulliman Moore). I do believe that gender is something relates to the culture and people s perception of what a certain gender supposed to do. For instance, parents tend to give their baby girls pink rooms, give baby boys blue rooms; they are also likely to buy dolls for girls, but not for boys. This topic about sex and genderreminds me of a commercial that I used to watch. It was produced by a brand named Always . Both of the cases mentioned in here were boys wrongly raised as girls, then they figured that they were more masculine than feminine until the transition points appeared. After they knew that they were boys, most of them would not accept female gender roles any more. For David Remier, I do not think it was solely the confusing gender role frustrated him and made him suicide, I think it was the way his parents and Dr. Money handled the situation. Certainly David had some levels of gender dysphoria, as in the video, his mother said that he was more masculine and being bullied in school. However, I feel like Dr.Money kept forcing him to do something that he did not want to do. It begins in 1961 and jumps right into action when James Farmer, the CORE (Congress of Racial Equality) principal founder and last survivor of the Big Four , boards the Greyhound (Alabama bound) bus with the Freedom Riders. With a little bit of convincing from Doris Castle, a 16 year old CORE member, he decided that it was right for him to proceed. He was well advised that there would be trouble ahead; nevertheless, Mr. Farmer wasn t terror stricken. When they arrived in Jackson, Mississippi, the trouble began. Over two dozen policemen were surrounding the Freedom Riders and they were arrested. The Freedom rides were put together by Mr. Farmer and consisted of a mixed race of people. They all followed the rule: Jail no bail. This ride was non violent and resulted in turmoil near the south. This smart idea made James Farmer a powerful leader in the Civil Rights movement. No one had the same amount of courage and fight inside as he did. While in jail, the Freedom Riders were mistreated by policemen; they were cursed at and humiliated. To get through the constant interrogations, they sang songs like: We Shall Overcome , Ain t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around , and Back of The Bus. This time period is very soon after the legalization of the Christian religion in the Roman Empire, and this fact is explicitly stated near the beginning of the movie. The plot follows the real world mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher Hypatia, although in the movie her age does not match up with what it would have truly been at the time of the events which are depicted, including her murder. She is shown as being consistently young throughout the movie although her murder actually took place when she was in her fifties or her sixties. Two other key figures are Orestes and St. Cyril the Christian Patriarch of Alexandria. The movie features the political struggle between Orestes and St. Cyril as its central conflict along with the secondary conflicts of paganism and Judaism versus Christianity. The premise of this came from his curiosity to understand the way humans create, react to, and redefine the shared, symbolic meanings in their social environment. As the text mentions, Mead agreed that words and nonverbal behaviors are the primary symbols to which humans assign meaning. The second main idea is the colors red and green representing different ideas of the story. The third main idea is Dorothy s ruby red slippers having a power only Dorothy could use. Dorothy is surprised and amazed at what she sees when she steps out into the Land of Oz with all its colorfulness. Even though Dorothy is a little scared at first she is quickly greeted by the beautiful good witch dressed in white. The good ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I keep calm outside but on the inside, I just feel a rush and craziness. I want to be free from the people who are judgemental, to be at peace, to be at a place where you can listen the chirping of birds, listen to the gurgling of river. • 37. Analysis Of Chopin s Chopin This news comes from her husband s friend, who says that Brently Mallard has died in a railroad accident. Mrs. Mallard s sister, Josephine, mindful of Mrs. Mallard s heart condition, breaks the news to her in broken sentences and veiled hints (193). But when Mrs. Mallard hears the shocking news, she undergoes a profound transformation that empowers her with a clear and exalted perception (194). As Chopin demonstrates, this heightened consciousness comes to the protagonist because of her awakened emotions. Revealing her own dynamic and avant garde understanding, Chopin rejects the tradition of attributing supremacy to the faculty of reason in the act of perception, and she attributes it instead to the faculty of emotions. When she hears the news of her husband s death, Mrs. Mallard s obliviousness to the beauty of life breaks down under the powerful impact of emotion. Until this moment, Mrs. Mallard hardly thinks it worthwhile to continue her existence; as the narrator of the story says, It was only yesterday [Mrs. Mallard] had thought with a shudder that life might be long (194). Her life until this point seems devoid of emotion, as the lines in her face besp[ea]k repression (193). Upon hearing the news, her sorrow gushes out in a torrent: She wept at once with sudden, wild abandonment (193). The narrator points out, however, that Mrs. Mallard is not struck, as many women have been, by a paralyzed inability to accept the painful sense of loss (193). On ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This disease is primarily when the white blood cell, WBC, making tissue releases too many undeveloped lymphocytes. The immature lymphocytes then collect in lymph tissues. In addition, the chromosomes play an important part in the diagnosis of the subtype of ALL. The TEL AML1 fusion gene can indicate an early B cell type of leukemia. This gene also indicates a favorable prognosis. The bcr abl t translocation gene is seen in three to five percent of all cases. Inanga ABSTRACT The absorption capacity is one of key indicators on which financing agencies base the allocation of financial resources to sponsored projects, and should hence be closely monitored. This is mainly due to the fact that several programs compete for the agricultural income in developing countries agricultural dependent economies. In addition, while the agricultural research is largely financed by private funds in developed countries, the share of the private sector is too low in developing countries. The system relies either on government funding and/or external assistance, especially in Sub Saharan Africa. According to Pardey et al. (2006), donor contributions (including World Bank loans) in Sub Saharan Africa accounted for an average of 35% of funding to principal agricultural research agencies in 2000. Even though this share shows a decreasing trend, the share of external funds in agricultural research varies from country to country, as several countries, such as Eritrea, are highly dependent on external aid for agricultural research (figure 1), while others, such as Sudan, use their own internal income to this end. Donor agricultural research financing in developing countries is channelled either through the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), a consortium of 15 agricultural research centers , regional research networks, or directly to national agricultural research systems. Nature And Nature In Jack London s To Build A Fire In the story To Build a Fire written by Jack London, a man and a dog travel together through the Yukon in freezing temperatures to get to a cabin where the man s friends are. The significant events in the story such as the man falling into a creek, the man s fire going out and the dog leaving the mans body reveals the authors own understanding of how nature and humanity interact. The use of third person pronoun, symbolism and metaphors work together in order to help readers understand the themes that nature is indifferent to humans and that you shouldn t ignore the advice of others. In the short story How To Build A Fire, the manfalls into a creek causing him to get wet up to his knees, this is disastrous for him since he is traveling with a dog through an isolated trail in the Yukonmeaning no one is there to help. This event is adds tension to the story because if he can t build a fire to dry himself he will die. The oxford dictionary defines crime as an action of omission which constitutes an offence and is punishable by law . There are many different types of crimes, and they are classified based on the seriousness of the crime. Minor crimes/offences, for example a traffic offence, are called misdemeanors. More serious crimes, like murder, are called felonies and are punishable by more than a year in prison. When people hear the word crime, they most often associate it with a dangerous, violent act. • 55. The Legalization Of Drug Legalization Drug decriminalization is opposed by the majority of Americans. Leaders in drug prevention, education, treatment, and law enforcement are against it, as are many political leaders. However, pro drug advocacy groups, who support the use of drugs, are making headlines. They are influencing legislation and having a significant impact on the national policy debate in the United States. Although, pro advocacy groups claim decriminalizationof drugs will lower incarceration rates and boost the economy, drugs must stay illegal in America, if not, more people will use, causing negative effects on health, families and communities. Proponents on the legalization of drugs believe if drugs were to become legal; the black market worth billions of dollars would become extinct, druggangsters would disappear, addicts would stop committing crimes to support their habit and the prison system would not be overwhelmed with a problem they cannot defeat. The decriminalization of drugs will only make illegal drugs cheaper, easier to get and more acceptable to use. The U.S. has 20 million alcoholics and alcohol misusers, but only around 6 million illegal drug addicts. If illegal drugs were easier to obtain, this figure would rise (Should Drugs be decriminalized? No.November 09, 2007 Califano Joseph A, Jr). A large number of prisoners and people in rehab homes have stated that they were brought up in homes where illegal drugs were being used by their parents. These ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 56. Space Probes Research Paper The Investigation of the Large Outer Planets by the Space Probes, Voyager 1 and 2 and Casini The space probes voyager 1 and 2 were set off in 1977 on August the 20th and september the 5th from the NASA Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida. This was because the suitable conditions for their mission wold not reoccur for approximately another 175 years. These conditions were that the planets were aligned in a certain way that would allow the probes to use specific planets to propel the probes further out into space. Due to the distance these probes traveled from the sun, solar energy was unable to be used as a power source. Instead the probes relied on the gravitational forces of the planets to propel them. This was able to happen because of a rare geometric arrangement of the planets in the late 1970s. The flybys that the spacecraft did of the outer planets would utilise the gravitational forces of the planets to sufficiently bend the course and increase the velocity of the probes so that they could reach their next destination. The probes were at first only designed to flyby Jupiter and Saturn, even though a four planet mission was known to be possible. This was at first rejected because it was believed it would be too expensive. More than 10,000 trajectories had to be studied before two were chosen that would allow close flybys of Jupiter and its moon Io, and Saturn and its moon Titan. ...
