2. When you are presenting orally
remember:
• Your Ppt is not meant to be read
• You only should write on it headlines to guide your
audience.
• These headlines will also help you keep organized.
• But if you read all through it, it becomes very boring and distracting for
those listening (should they read or listen?)
3. Structure of the presentation
A well organized presentation with a clear structure is easier for the audience to follow.
It is therefore more effective.
Beginning Short introduction
inntroduction
● welcome your audience
● introduce your subject
● explain the structure of your
presentation
Middle Body of presentation ● present the subject itself
End Short conclusion ● summarise your presentation
● thank your audience
● invite questions
Questions and answers
4. Remember also
• You may include any kind of visual
aids such as:
• Charts
• Images
• Audio/video files
• But if you include the latter they
must be very brief.

5. Some tips for your oral presentation
You should be as spontaneous as possible. You should not read your presentation. Speak with
conviction.
Believe in what you are saying and you will persuade your audience.
Speak slowly and clearly.
Use clear, simple language, avoiding jargon (too technical language)
Maintain eye contact with your audience.
Be aware of your body language and use of your voice by varying its speed, volume and pitch.
