I think we could all agree that solving our cybersecurity challenge may be the single most important thing we can achieve
Our, and the world’s economy, are now completely dependent on this amazing invention called the internet. As a result, cyber security is THE problem that affects everyone, every business, every government equally. It knows no boundary. It has no bias.
Even Warren Buffett declared Cyberscurity Mankind’s number one issue in an interview he did earlier this year – saying cybersecurity worries him more than weapons of mass destruction.
The spate of recent events has even my parents worrying about their safety in cyber space. It is a discussion I never thought I’d have with a couple of 90 year olds, but even they recognize that something is horribly awry and that they are at risk in ways they’ve never imagined.
As I’ve said before…we used to worry about mutually assured destruction, now we worry about mutually assured darkness– the ability for cyber weapons to disrupt the economic foundation of our modern world, damage or destroy life-essential services, and rupture the fabric of our daily lives, is not the stuff of science fiction, but very, very real.
So for the next few minutes I am going to share our thoughts on what it will take to land the Cyber Moonshot
And then I am going to ask you to get involved
Because in the end, this is about all of us together igniting a Cyber Moonshot journey
