This document discusses isoloop magnetic couplers which can replace opto-couplers. Isoloop magnetic couplers use giant magnetoresistance (GMR) technology, consisting of two magnetic layers separated by a nonmagnetic layer. They contain a voltage regulator, GMR bridge, comparator, and transistor. Isoloop couplers offer advantages over opto-couplers like faster operation, excellent noise immunity, and temperature stability. They find applications in digital isolation for devices like ADCs, DACs, and data interfaces. Future developments may yield even higher speed isoloop couplers.
