Introduction
ā€¢ Organ of hearing and also plays an important role in
equilibrium.
ā€¢ Divided into three parts:-
ā€“ External ear.
ā€“ Middle ear.
ā€“ Internal ear.
ā€¢ External ear consists of Pinna/auricle.
ā€¢ Tympanic membrane at the medial end of EAM.
ā€¢ Middle ear ā€“ an air filled space containing ear ossicles.
ā€¢ Communicates with the nasopharynx through auditory
tube.
ā€¢ Internal ear consists of bony labyrinth & fluid filled
labyrinth.
