IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015
â€Ē University Resource Planning is designed for resolving
problems in universities, combining data, improving the
quality and effectiveness of management, and leveling up
the management.
â€Ē Based on the Enterprise Resource Planning concept,
reconstructing the data for education in tertiary institutions
will save resources and reduce the procedures during work.
This will help in problems when processing university
information and data effectively.
â€Ē The processes and operations in allocating resources in
university will be reduced. The management and services
provision for teachers and students will be enhanced.
INTRODUCTION

IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015
â€Ē The cloud computing plays a significant role in decreasing
the environmental impacts of ICT in terms of digital access
and usage.
â€Ē The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2014 is an
international standard demonstrating the university’s efforts
in terms of environmental sustainability management. The
criteria of the ranking are conformed to the university policy
which involves six aspects of evaluation
â€Ē Therefore, to conform the operation to the university’s
policy, the author had conducted a research on the analysis
of the green university resource planning on cloud
computing in order to use the research results as the
guideline for developing the future Green University
Resource Planning on cloud computing.

According to Table 1, University Resource Planning is consisted
of five modules which are
1) Human Resources (for example, registration history, signing
up and working attendance),
2) Finance (for instance, income and expense calculation,
withdrawal, financial statement processing),
3) Education (for example, student application acceptance,
curriculum),
4) Administration (to illustrate, management at all levels), and
5) Research (for example, research and publication).

â€Ē According to Figure 1, the diagram of the analysis of the
green university resource planning on cloud computing is
based on the documentary analysis on the University
Resource Planning and the Green University Policy.
University Resource Planning consists of five modules which
are 1) Human Resource 2) Finance 3) Education 4)

â€Ē Based on the analysis, Cloud Computing is used for
processing the allocation of resources in the network. Cloud
Computing plays an important role in the environmental
impacts of ICT affecting the digital access and utilization. If
the users are educated about data access via Cloud properly,
the behaviors of users will be improved to be more
environmental-friendly. To do so, there are some principles
needed to be adopted. 1. Standardize 2. Share 3. Reuse and

IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015
â€Ē The analysis of the green university resource planning on
cloud computing based on the documentary analysis shows
that the Enterprise Resource Planning related to specific
tasks of each university consists of five modules
â€Ē For the modules under the University Resource Planning,
they are conformed to the UI GreenMetric World University
Ranking criteria. The research results from the documentary
analysis on the Green University Policy suggests that there
are ten related policy
â€Ē Similar to the University Resource Planning, they are
conformed to the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking
2014 criteria which have six evaluation

  • 1. The Analysis of Green University Resource Planning on Cloud Computing Jarumon Nookhong Ph.D. Candidate IEC2015 Internationale-LearningConference2015 Prachyanun Nilsook, Ph.D. Associate Professor Division of Information and Communication Technology for Education King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, Bangkok, Thailand.
  • 2. IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015 â€Ē University Resource Planning is designed for resolving problems in universities, combining data, improving the quality and effectiveness of management, and leveling up the management. â€Ē Based on the Enterprise Resource Planning concept, reconstructing the data for education in tertiary institutions will save resources and reduce the procedures during work. This will help in problems when processing university information and data effectively. â€Ē The processes and operations in allocating resources in university will be reduced. The management and services provision for teachers and students will be enhanced. INTRODUCTION 2
  • 3. IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015 â€Ē The cloud computing plays a significant role in decreasing the environmental impacts of ICT in terms of digital access and usage. â€Ē The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2014 is an international standard demonstrating the university’s efforts in terms of environmental sustainability management. The criteria of the ranking are conformed to the university policy which involves six aspects of evaluation â€Ē Therefore, to conform the operation to the university’s policy, the author had conducted a research on the analysis of the green university resource planning on cloud computing in order to use the research results as the guideline for developing the future Green University Resource Planning on cloud computing. INTRODUCTION 3

  • 5. IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015 This research is based on the documentary analysis in relation to the green university resource planning on cloud computing which is divided into two parts as follows. â€Ē University Resource Planning â€Ē Green University Policy METHODOLOGY 5

  • 7. IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015 According to Table 1, University Resource Planning is consisted of five modules which are 1) Human Resources (for example, registration history, signing up and working attendance), 2) Finance (for instance, income and expense calculation, withdrawal, financial statement processing), 3) Education (for example, student application acceptance, curriculum), 4) Administration (to illustrate, management at all levels), and 5) Research (for example, research and publication). • 9. IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015 According to Table 2, the green university policy is categorized based on the analysis into 10 Policy which are 1) Waste 2) Resources 3) Ambient/Indoor Air 4) Research 5) Energy 6) Landscaping 7) Transportation by Bus 8) Achieve Corporate Social Responsibility 9) Comply with Regulations 10) Infrastructure. Therefore, the analysis of the green university resource planning on cloud computing is described in the following figure. RESULTS 9

  • 11. IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015 â€Ē According to Figure 1, the diagram of the analysis of the green university resource planning on cloud computing is based on the documentary analysis on the University Resource Planning and the Green University Policy. University Resource Planning consists of five modules which are 1) Human Resource 2) Finance 3) Education 4) Administration and 5) Research. RESULTS 11
  • 12. IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015 â€Ē The research shows that the literatures on both areas are conformed to UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2014 criteria which assess the university in six aspects as shown below. 1. Setting and Infrastructure 2. Energy and Climate Change 3. Waste 4. Water 5. Transportation 6. Education RESULTS 12
  • 13. IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015 â€Ē Based on the analysis, Cloud Computing is used for processing the allocation of resources in the network. Cloud Computing plays an important role in the environmental impacts of ICT affecting the digital access and utilization. If the users are educated about data access via Cloud properly, the behaviors of users will be improved to be more environmental-friendly. To do so, there are some principles needed to be adopted. 1. Standardize 2. Share 3. Reuse and 4. Green Behavior RESULTS 13
  • 14. IEC 2015: International e-Learning Conference 2015 â€Ē The analysis of the green university resource planning on cloud computing based on the documentary analysis shows that the Enterprise Resource Planning related to specific tasks of each university consists of five modules â€Ē For the modules under the University Resource Planning, they are conformed to the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking criteria. The research results from the documentary analysis on the Green University Policy suggests that there are ten related policy â€Ē Similar to the University Resource Planning, they are conformed to the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2014 criteria which have six evaluation CONCLUSION 14
