  • 4.  Students will be able to discuss, understand/summarize the meaning of a poem, different poets, understand imagery, and learn some different types of poems by digital storytelling, have a discussion through blogging, use Twitter, and Pintrest, create an image on Photoshop and make a Poster, will listen to a Podcast, follow QR and make a Voki, and complete a WebQuest, with 100% accuracy, by the end of 9 school days.
  • 5.       A-Same students as before. S- Students will learn some different types of poetry through a video of me teaching them. They will also be introduced to the different poets/poems we will be learning throughout this unit. With 100% accuracy by the end of the class. S-I will need a smart board to play the videos and access to YouTube. U-I will need a working computer, projector(if there is not Smart board), sound system/speakers, and internet access. I will begin the lesson by telling them what they have to do. I will make the presentation presentable and practice it before I show it to the children. I will be sure to change between activities so the ADHD kids will not get bored. R-To ensure kids are participating I will have them write down one fact about each poet/poem and we will share them at the end of the period. E-When I change from the first video to the second I will ask students at random something covered in the video. I will pause the second one periodically and do the same thing. After we watch the both video each students will be asked to repeat something from either video.
  • 6.   Monday- Students will watch a video in class of me introducing the types of poetry. http://youtu.be/9CNGEoUaROE Next the students will create a story-telling video tell about different types of poets and poems written by that poet. http://youtu.be/dmM--Al0rmE

S- Reserve the computer lab, making sure they can get on the internet. U- I will make sure the internet is working as well as zunal.com, if I cannot reserve the computer lab I will need to make sure each student has a laptop or tablet. I will begin by showing them how to use zunal.com and how to complete a webquest. R- The students will be participating because they will be working on their webquest and complete it. I will walk around room the entire class asking questions and making sure they are not doing anything they are not supposed to be doing. E-Throughout the activity I will have them talk to each other and help. Then I will give them a chance to ask me questions and instead of just giving them the answer I will have them try and proceed from their answers. If some of any of the kids are having trouble I will put them in pairs/small groups.
  • 8. Tuesday:  Students will find and complete a webquest: http://zunal.com/webquest.php?w=219095  Wednesday:  Students will create their own Webquest and then another person in the class will complete their Webquest: http://zunal.com/webquest.php?w=213934 

R-To have kids participate, they will have to show me their work and because so much is asked of them in two days, they will have stay on task to complete everything on time. E- They will have to turn in each project by the beginning of class on Monday, they will be graded on if they have everything needed for each project (see next slide).
