over the name of the magazine, a lot
of music magazines do this becsause
there magazines are well know and
you know what it is even if you can
not see the mast head.

creating a relationship between them
and the person looking at the
magazine.
Also the main article normally fits in
with the main image too link them
together and say why they are on the
front cover

3. These circle boxes stand out from
the rest of the page and are
usually something that will try
masthead and sell the magazine too you
In this article the mast head

normally covers some of the

bigger and in different
writing and relates the main

image. He is also looking at

colours used in the cover
red whit and black this
keeps it simple but effective
so you can easily look and
things on the cover and not
be confused by a mass of
colour
4. Contents page
Contents pages always have photographs to
go with articles in the magazine they
normally have one big main one and some
sub ones like on this magazine.
They are normally sorted into columns so
that it is easy to read through and you can
normally find things easily if you are looking
for something in particular.
Magazine contents page also features the
date and sometimes a comment from the
editor about this weeks issue. They also
normally feature adverts like in the bottom
right of this contents page.
5. Double page spread
Double page spreads normally
have plain backgrounds and one
main large image this is so that
the article is focused on the
person rather then the back
grounds. The photo normally
takes up at least a page of the
double page and it breaks down
the texts and lets you know who
the story is about.
They also have a main title and
normally an opening paragraph
bigger then the rest so you can
see what the article is going to
be about
