  • Have you ever jumped from a bungee?
  • Have you ever eaten insects?
  • Have you ever visited a cemetery at night?
  • Have you ever won something?
  • Have you ever fought in the street?
  • Have you ever had an argument with your parents?
  • Have you ever had an accident at home?
  • Have you ever failed an exam?
  • Have you ever seen a ghost?
  • Have you ever tried parachuting?
  • Have you ever been in a traffic accident?
  • Have you ever eaten a complete box of chocolate?
  • Have you ever gone to a concert?
  • Present Perfect vs Past tense The present perfect is used when the time period has NOT finished: I have seen three movies this week. I have gone to the CAADI during this week. My brother hasn’t had the exam at school this semester. The simple past is used when the time period HAS finished: I saw that movie last week. I went to the CAADI last Monday. My brother had the exam last semester.
  • The present perfect is often used when giving recent news: The simple past is used when giving older information: Martin has crashed his car again. The teacher has gotten married. We have had a written exam. Martin crashed his car last year The teacher got married last month. We had a written exam yesterday.
  • The present perfect is used when the time is not specific The simple past is used when the time is clear: I have already worked in USA They have already done homework. Sandra has already asked permisson. I saw that movie on Thursday. They did homework yesterday night. Sandra asked permisson in the morning
  • Present Perfect vs Past tense Have you ever jumped from a bungee? Yes, I have. I jumped from a bungee in my last vacation. Has your sister visited San Francisco yet? No, she hasn’t. She visited Houston last December. Have your bothers tried chinese food? No, they haven’t. They tried Italian food in Monterrey last Saturday.
