  1. WAYS TO GRAB ATTENTION FIVE DIFFERENT WAYS TO GRAB AUDIENCE’S ATTENTION DURING PRESENTATIONS AND TO MAINTAIN THE ATTRACTION

    • Use Humor
    • Tell a story
    • Pass around a sample
    • Ask a question
    • State a Starling Statistic
  3. Use Humor
    • Include a light comment now and then to perk up the audience
    • The subject may be serious. Don’t care about it
    • Make sure the humor is relevant to the subject and the presentation and not too offensive
  4. Tell a Story
    • Slice of life Stories are interesting and compelling
    • It should illustrate an important point
  5. Paste around a sample
    • Appeal the audience’s senses
    • Pass around a sample
    • Eg: If your company sell chocolates, give everyone a sample taste
  6. Ask a Question
    • It will make the audience actively involve in your presence
    • Gives information about them and their needs
  7. State a Starling Statistic
    • People love to be informed
    • You can wake up your audience if you can interject an interesting statistic
