› Network slice is described by a Network Slice Template (NST):
describes structure, components and configuration of a network slice
› Network Slice Instance (NSI) is a graph of network functions (VNF,
PNF) connected together to build an end-to-end logical network with
specific requirements and capabilities
› Endpoints identify a network Slice by means of the Network Slice
Selection Assistance Information (NSSAI). NSSAI can be transmitted in
signaling messages between the UE and the Network
