2. Introduction to WHO
• Set up by 61 countries in the United Nations
• Coordinates and directs authority of heath within
the United Nations
• Responsible for providing technical support and
assessing health trends globally
• Encourages shared health responsibility

• Ensures health care/facilities are available to
prevent medical threats
• Strives to put a stop to deadly diseases, such as
Malaria and Aids
• Promotes good health in the world

4. History of Venture
• during 1950s, Malaria eradication and a mass
Tuberculosis inoculation was launched
• started a global programme on the problem of
HIV/AIDS, followed two years later by additional
attention on preventing discrimination against
sufferers and UNAIDS was formed in 1996.

5. Impact of Venture
• world health is better now after launching of
several projects to solve huge health problems
• prevented infectious diseases from spreading
• Saved many lives globally
