3. BUDGET
• The budget for the film was $6.4 million.
• Couldn’t find where the money came from but it can be assumed that the
money came together from both of the production companies.
4. GENRE AND STARS
• ‘The Terminator’ has two genres tied to it which are sci-fi and action.
• The stars in the film are; Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Biehn, Linda
Hamilton, Lance Henriksen, Rick Rossovich, Bess Motta and Earl Boen.
5. MARKETING
• Around and shortly after the film's theatrical release, a number of
merchandise items and media were released and sold to coincide with the
film. A soundtrack to the film was released in 1984 which included the score
by Brad Fiedel and the pop and rock songs used in the club scenes.
6. TECHNOLOGY
• Stan Winston created puppets from clay, plaster and steel ribbing.
• A stop motion camera was used to film many scenes such as the skeletal
terminator scene.
• It was released to VHS and Betamax.
• In 1997 it was released to DVD and Blu-Ray in 2006.
• Filmed on a 35mm format.
