  • 2. Pre – School Learners Target Area of Guidance 1. They are in their formative years. The values, habits, and attitudes that they learn during this period persist up to the later years. Values formation 2. They are developing their readiness. Proper motivation in learning 3. They have short interest and attention span. Learning habits and attitudes 4. They learn more by doing or actively participating in learning activities. Generating and sustaining interest in experimental learning activities 5. They are in the stage of learning how to relate to others particularly peers, classmates, and teachers. Socialization and interpersonal skills

Planning and goal setting 3. They are seeking their own identity acceptance. Self - Awareness 4. They are easily influenced. Decision - Making 5. They develop heterosexual relationship. Boy – girl relationship

  • 6. 1. To help in the total development of the student Guidance and counseling helps the students to have a bettervself understanding and proper adjustment to self and society. 2. To help in the proper choices of courses 3. To help in the proper choice of careers 4. To help the students in vocational development 5. To develop readiness for choices and changes to face new challenges
  • 7. 6. To minimize the mismatching between education and employment and help in the efficient use of manpower. 7. To motivate the youth for self employment 8. To help fresher’s establish proper identity Guidance and counseling service is needed to help students deal effectively with the normal developmental tasks of adolescence and face life situations boldly. 9) To identify and motivate the students from weaker sections of society.
