 Stockton’s ABLE Charter High School
 In the school promotion Shots of
school were used to promote the
school and to help set the exposition
because we know it’s a documentary
about the school. We also see shots of
the Classroom to show how the
classroom works and the connection
between students and teachers. In the
background you can hear classical
music which represents the fact that
there a high class school. The Logo of
school is shown to the help the
audience identify who the school is and
to show that each person is proud to
be an ambassador of the school. Also
shots Teachers educating students are
shown to show how they teach to
parents and are they strict enough etc.
Of course Info about school is shown to
help the audience try and contact them
if they like the school.


 King Edwards
 In the beginning of the documentary
there is interview taken place. This
interview is used to help the figure
out what the topic is about and also
to help to the audience understand
the opinions of some people. Besides
the interview, text and titles have
been used to help the audience
identify who the person is and what
rank of status they are. We also
noticed at the background of the
beginning interview there is the
school logo. This displays that he
represents the school and to show
the audience the school logo. The
next few shots show the diversity
between students studying there.
The next few shot are a montage of
shots which show different student
both listening and learning, taking
part in activates and doing practical
work. Also the montages we see also
show different departments within
the actual school.
Tupac and biggie (conventions
found)
 In this documentary archival footage was used to show the death
of Tupac and biggie smalls because when we see the crime scene
and when the person on a police radio is explaining causalities of
both Tupac and biggie we understand that they were murdered
and the entire documentary would be about the mystery of their
murderers. This was used to aware the audience of Tupac and
Biggies death by showing a historical moment. Throughout this
documentary a voice over is used to help set the scene whilst
actual shots across the city are shown. Also to help the viewer’s
understood a little more. Another convention found would be the
interviews. Here people involved in Tupac and Biggies life and
been interviewed by the directors of the documentary to gather
information about specific scenes in their lives. This was used to
make the documentary more persuasive and realistic because it
was taken from real people with real opinions.
