• To develop high expectations of ourselves as teachers and of our Torres Strait and Indigenous students
 Observing and analysing our own teaching through video (Terry and Belinda)  Observing each other and providing feedback (as a Yr 8 staff and with Lisa)  Implementing new techniques such as student whiteboards  Maintaining good pedagogy and continuous PD  Keeping high expectations of all students
 Analysis of past NAPLAN results, OLSAT results and primary school data  Identifying individual and class weaknesses to focus learning outcomes  Targeting mathematical language  Teacher observation
• Know your students • Parent communication (An area for us to improve in?) • Using Maths 300 for learning experiences see unit outline
• Teacher assistant program • Reward systems designed by students • Open discussion on lesson format • Class discussion on mix of individual, paired and group work • Tutor system
• Having fun • Lots of encouragement (reward system, praise, regular feedback at an individual level) • Maths 300 • Make It Count cluster days • Sharing our passion for Maths
