This document summarizes an experiment in mobile learning called iFontys 1.0. It involved 120 students from 11 schools testing 4 mobile services with 41 employees and 6 student developers. The experiment explored app development, interactive lessons, and conducted qualitative and quantitative research. It discussed the benefits of mobile eContent like content availability, cross-media capabilities, instant access, and portability. Exponential progress in technology was discussed, with predictions that everything will become digitized and devices will become more flexible, cheap, smart and connected in the future. A potential next version, iFontys 2.0, was proposed involving more co-creation, interaction and digital publishing in studies.
12. The Moore theorem
Moore’s law:
Chip density doubles every 12-18 months.
This means, memory sizes, processor power,
etc. all follow the same exponential curve.
14. What does it mean?
Every time interval (year?) a doubling
of power, capacity and possibilities !
looking forward 4 years
equals
looking back 15 years
