Dear Colleague(s),
Warm greetings!
In celebration of the Library and Information Services Month, the Philippine Association of Academic/Research Librarians, Inc. (PAARL) is pleased to invite you to its 4th Marina G. Dayrit Lecture Series 2014 on the topic, “Recognizing Best Researches: A Colloquium on Philippine Libraries and Librarianship”, to be held on 25 November 2014, 1:00PM to 3:00PM at the Epifanio Delos Santos Auditorium, National Library of the Philippines, T.M. Kalaw, Manila.
The lecture series, named in honor of our founding president, Ms. Marina G. Dayrit, aims to provide a fertile learning environment for new ideas and enlightened discussions among library and information professionals in the country.
Filipino librarians have remarkably crossed the border drawn between being custodians of knowledge into becoming generators of knowledge. From service to service and research, librarians of today are gradually realizing their significant role in the knowledge society by conducting research and disseminating results to benefit the profession at large.
This year's concluding lecture in our series is a colloquium highlighting the top three research outputs accepted for publication in the forthcoming issue of the PAARL Research Journal. Authors of said papers shall present their research results, which aims to further usher in learning outcomes and practical applications where forum participants could benchmark from.
As a way of expressing PAARL's gratitude to its members for their incessant support to the Association's mission and objectives, registration fee for this forum is at a minimum discounted rate of Php100 for all participants, to cover for light snacks and certificate. Registration starts at 12 noon.
You may also renew and apply for membership during the forum. Fees are at Php200 for individual and Php500 for institutional members. More information about membership will also be available at the registration/secretariat’s desk.
Thank you and we look forward to your usual support.
Very truly yours,
CHRISTINE M. ABRIGO
Vice President / Conference Chair
